The menus are on big screen t.v.’s so everything is clear and easy to read.
The selections are few but delicious I’m sure. I ordered the burrito and a can of soda.
The food was delivered to my table in a take out bag and wrapped in aluminum. I mentioned that I wanted it for here (hoping for a plate and silverware) and the gentlemen said that is how they are served. Okay. Good to know. I also asked if they provided chips and salsa? He said they do not. Okay at this point I’m wondering…do I smell? Is this my hint to hit the bricks with my sack of food and come back when I discover deodorant?lol
Ok, so I try the meal, Mexican music in the background, and it’s okay. A bit bland but not horrible. I had hoped it was going to pop and make me see the restaurant in a whole new different light, as it happens sometimes, but it was a slight disappointment.
The place is clean, the staff friendly and the food okay. The price? Meh. For that price I’d expect a few more amenities. (That’s why I don’t like tipping when I pay because I regretted the tip I prepaid) I ended up paying roughly $17 for a single burrito and a 12 ounce diet Pepsi. Again, wouldn’t mind paying that if we’re warranted.
I do wish them well, and hope the community supports them!
P.S. I edited the hours because they were wrong on Google Maps. It said they were closed when they were clearly opened. New hours are 11am to 9pm EVERYDAY! I made sure to clarify that with the gentlemen behind the counter.
He took our order to go. The restaurant was not busy at all during the afternoon. It felt just like a pop up food truck. Limited menu items. Little English. The street tacos were ok, My tamales completely fell apart when opening. Very bland and mooshy. We’ve had better. We’ve had worse. It’s a solid 3 for me.
Just didn’t have a comfortable vibe inside. Felt like a kiosk or food cart. Maybe in the future, they will get it straightened out.
Then there is the ice cream. The Marias are excellent. Three scoops of ice cream, you choice of flavors. They have a variety of flavors, all are good. Chocolate syrup or Mexican Carmel. I should not be getting the Marias but they’re delicious.
The restaurant does have Mexican banda music playing. Reminds me of my time in Mexico. The couple that run the restaurant are very friendly and nice. You can’t go wrong eating here. Nice quiet place to take a date.
