Great coffee shop for working/coworking as long as you don’t mind a little background music and people talking (not at a high volume). Loved how much seating and free parking they had here both inside and outside. They also have really strong wifi for customers and a nice community board setup near the door. Restrooms were also available to customers. People who come here are super nice too – when I arrived, the only seats left indoors were at a bigger table where some people were already sitting. They were very nice and welcoming in letting me grab a seat at their table! And if you’re in a rush, don’t worry – they even have a drive thru option for your coffee pick up convenience. Just note ahead of time that there is an extra charge/processing fee if you pay with credit card.

I was so excited to try this place. The appearance of the coffee was impressive but when I drank the ganache mocha I was extremely dissapointed. The coffee was so bitter I could barely take a second sip. Ganache Mocha??? Really? I tasted no chocolate, in fact, first thing that came to mind was bitter raisins. Hot chocolate, no way it couldn’t taste like chocolate. Well Idk what it was but it didn’t taste like hot chocolate at all. Kids wouldn’t touch it Wasted $16. Expensive btw 🙁

I have friends in the are and visit AA a couple times a year but somehow this was the first time I visited Dozer. Excellent coffee, perhaps the best in the area. The barrel aged nitro cold brew was amazing. bought some beans to bring home with me. Nicely appointed casual vibe. Good service. Ample parking. Good food. Did I mention the coffee is great?

Great Vibe, Good Beans, Mediocre Espresso

Dozer Coffee has a fantastic vibe, and I keep coming back for the atmosphere alone. The outdoor seating is great, and the whole setup with the shipping containers is really cool. It’s a great spot to hang out and enjoy the day.

My biggest issue, though, is with the espresso. I’m always underwhelmed by their shots. It’s hard to understand, especially when they have a beautiful, expensive La Marzocco machine on the bar. I honestly feel like I can pull a better shot at home with my much smaller setup, using their very own beans.

And that’s the main reason I keep returning: their beans. You can always get a bag that was roasted less than a week ago, which is critical for making great espresso. I really want to love this place for the coffee, but I guess for now I’ll just keep coming back for the atmosphere and the fresh beans for my home brewing.

Though I don’t live in the Ann Arbor area anymore, I look forward to coming to Dozer every time I’m in town for a visit. Their espresso is simply unmatched and I always enjoy their specialty/seasonal drink creations. Even now living in Seattle where we are spoiled with so many great coffee options Dozer remains my favorite coffee, and now that I know they ship their beans I’ll certainly be ordering from them online.

The cafe itself is a nice environment to get some work done and there’s always ample parking. I’ll occasionally order one of their burritos, which are consistent in quality and very tasty as well!

One of the best spots in Ann Arbor for coffee. Large indoor& outdoor spaces for meetings or to get work done. Coffee is top notch, with the roaster on-sight. Breakfast / brunch options round out a great menu. They also have a drive-thru for times when you’re on the go.

We love Dozer! We’ve been going here for two years now, and it’s one of our favorite spots due to the great coffee and vibes!

The baristas are super friendly, and the monthly specials are always fun. Their food is slept on too – the burritos and tots are so good! Parking is easy, and it’s lovely to sit outside on a nice day.

I have to say – I was disappointed. This is a small local roaster, I was hoping for a good, flavorful cup. Nice cafe, great atmosphere, friendly staff. But they seem to fall into the trap many trendy cafes fall into these days, just like their big local competitor that starts with an R – you use so much coffee to brew, the brewed coffee is overly strong which makes the cup bitter and overwhelms the taste buds. This is specialty coffee, you’re supposed to be able to taste all these wonderful nuanced flavor notes, but when you use too much coffee it spoils it. More does not mean better. I tried a pourover of what looked like a good Costa Rican – and it was just strong and bitter, not nuanced and tasty like I hoped it would be.

The atmosphere at Dozer is unmatched. We love sitting on the patio enjoying lattes and breakfast on quiet summer mornings. We try to come here as much as possible when visiting Ann Arbor. The coffee is always wonderful and expertly made. The burritos, bowls, and BART tots are delicious — I’m not sure why everyone doesn’t put crispy tots in their breakfast burritos. Have always experienced great service here as well. Can’t recommend Dozer enough!

I study/work here every week for a few months now, love their rotating menu (coffee)! The food used to be good, especially their breakfast sammie! It has turkey patty, caramelized onion jam and aioli (maybe?) in focaccia. But in Nov they changed the menu and all the new things and old stuff are different. The steaks (slices?) are dry and flavorless, the bagel (replacement of sammie) is hard and dry. I give the stars because I have good memories at Dozer. But plz plz plz bring the breakfast sammie back
