This isn’t even the first time we’ve ordered and gotten something wrong. The last we went we ordered a modified torta and got home to it completely plain. It really sucks because the food overall is really good, but as a business the one girl at the drive thru is not setting a good picture. Apart from that as we were ordering she kept cutting us off and put us down for a hot cheeto esquite when we ordered a regular.

Passing through Bakersfield yesterday and We wanted to find a good spot to eat Mexican food. I asked Google and SoCal Tamal & Churro Company came up. ” L.A. Street Style Food.”
We ordered a wet burrito and a birria burrito. Absolutely delicious. There was so much more on their menu I wanted to try and will save for another time.
The people and staff working were awesome making sure we were taking care of asking us if the food was good how everything was and provided us with anything we needed also the quickness from when we order to receiving our food nice and fresh was so awesome and the vibe is awesome everything is awesome I can’t wait to go again.
BRAVO!!!

Yesenia at the front counter was very helpful and her smile and attitude were very welcoming. She gave us great recommendations being that this was our first time. The churros and champurrado were very authentic and tasty. This a definite stop next time we come through Bakersfield.

I absolutely love the food but you should probably have accurate prices on your menus, your menu says 12.50 for birria ramen but yall are charging 13.25 then when i ask about it yall don’t even honor the price on the menu that yall advertise ♀️

This is usually one of our favorite places to go. Today was subpar the usual. I ordered two of the puerco tamale with eggs breakfast. My egg had egg shells in it and the dish was missing the usual green sauce. It definitely makes a difference in the taste. This unfortunately ruined the breakfast for me and I won’t be finishing it. When the service is great and the food is made with love, it’s one of the best you can get for your money. Lately it hasn’t been as good as it was. I don’t know what changed but it’s not the same. Maybe we should try the new location instead next time.

SoCal Tamale truly captures the experience and flavors of East Los Angeles taco trucks, but in a welcoming brick-and-mortar setting. The carne asada is absolutely on point, and their triple-filtered purified water is a nice touch. I can also personally vouch for the menudo—it’s excellent!
My go-to plate is the huevos rancheros with meat, but the quesabirria tacos and consommé combo is another favorite of mine. Honestly, I haven’t tried anything here that I didn’t enjoy.
What really stands out, though, is the staff. Everyone is always so kind and attentive, which makes the experience even better. Kudos to the team managing this location—you’re doing an amazing job.
I ❤️ SoCal Tamale!!

SoCal tamal first caught my attention when they catered at a company picnic I went to. The food is great and their horchata is . My wife and i at least stop at their pacheco/wible location at least 2 times a week. Highly recommend if you cant make up your mind on a late night dinner.

We tried their pork tamales, toasted birria burrito, and the cheese and steak tamale and everything tasted amazing. We took it to go and really appreciate all the extra sauce and toppings they included. I will definitely be returning again!

Love their Pastor! I had a pastor taco on hand-made corn tortilla. Plus, they always give you a yummy tostada with beans and cheese and some sautéed veggies and a jalapeños and lemon or lime with every order.
