We’ve been huge fans of Orchard House ever since we stumbled across them at the market. First time I’ve been to their store front and it was great! Tons of delicious rotating options (check their well curated social media before you go to see what’s there). I really appreciate the option to get access to these year round and regret not grabbing a shirt, which I’ll fix next time I swing in.
The savory donuts remain the biggest surprise for how amazing they are, even if it doesn’t sound like something you might like I’d highly recommend trying one. As others have mentioned these are folks that know how to bake and it shows.

These are, without exaggerating, the best donuts I’ve ever had in my life, and they’re consistent. They treat donuts with the respect of pastry chefs, using good ingredients and fresh fruits, instead of using buckets of cheap Cisco filling like most places you come across. They make their own jelly for the jelly filled donuts out of local fruit and they’re really good. It’s wild because the crew here introduces new flavors weekly, but they’re all excellent. They also have a bunch of flavors that they keep and don’t switch out. I would personally recommend the pecan praline, the rosy cakes (topped with pistachio and rose), and the sour cream old fashioned. Only drawback is that other donuts are disappointing after you’ve had these.

The seasonal (cherry frangipane) was maybe the single best doughnut I’ve had, but the apple fritter really stands out, too. I doubt you could go wrong here. The most amazing artisan donuts and pastries to be found in the entire state and perhaps the country. Every detail is perfection, flavors, textures, visual presentation, NAILED IT. I already knew this place was spectacular for their clearly lovingly and carefully crafted pastries and doughnuts I’ve had a few times… but today, my socks were officially knocked off. THE BLACKBERRY CURD-FILLED DOUGHNUT. Ya’ll. YA’LL. This is the best doughnut that I ever had. It is also better than any doughnut I even thought could exist. It is perfect. Fluffy, yeasted, perfect dough FILLED with tart and flavorful and thick blackberry curd and crusted with small grain white sugar crystals. To say it is delectable and perfect is understating it. Thank you Orchard House for this masterpiece.. gotta go find my socks now.

This place has the best donuts in Washington. Best donuts I can remember anywhere off the top of my head. I may have gone overboard, but I tried about 10 different kinds and every single one was amazing. Highly recommend if you’re in the area or just passing through.
