Great music, great atmosphere, good prices, hosts were nice and friendly. Came on a Thursday around 2:00pm. It was seat yourself which I actually like, we got to pick where we wanted to sit instead of a server placing us in a undesired spot. Best was the steak fries, Mac and cheese was 2nd best, and the jalapeño jam blue cheese burger was just alright. The meat had great potential, and the bacon and bun was great, burger was cooked a little to long and the blue cheese added to the dryness, adding more sauce and less time on the stove would have been fantastic. Drinks were amazing as well. Fries are alot like redrobins but without the seasoning. Want to come again for happy hr 3-6p.

Food and service was great especially with it just opening. I ordered the Salmon River Risotto. Salmon was cooked to perfection. Husband ordered Island Park Paradise burger he said it was a little dry, but over all good. It is only their 3 day of being opened. The manager Isaiah was knowledgeable and helpful

Stopped in for the first official day… We had a really awesome experience at The Sportsman. The atmosphere fits the name perfectly, well thought out, comfortable, and inviting. It feels like a place you’ll want to come back to.
The service was excellent. Everyone was friendly and attentive without being overbearing. Chris, the owner, was present throughout the evening, checking in with guests and supporting his staff. He was welcoming and shared a bit about how the restaurant and bar came together, which added a personal touch.
The food was fantastic and generously portioned. The poutine in particular stood out — flavorful and true comfort food.
We’re excited to have this addition to the neighborhood, especially at this level right out of the gate. Looking forward to going back.

I am very impressed with this place’s take on the “bar and grill” scene! So many menu items had a unique twist to it, and the ones we tried were delicious! I definitely recommend the shrimp po’boy! It’s the best that I’ve had since leaving Alaska. Come here if you’re looking for something different with a great environment!!

This place just gets it right. Easy atmosphere, good service, and great food. It’s comfortable without trying too hard.
The food is honestly way better than “bar food”. Not just fried basics — everything we’ve ordered has been really good and well done. You can tell they care about what comes out of the kitchen.
Great spot to grab dinner, watch a game, or meet up with friends. Simple, consistent, and worth going back to.

PSA!!!! Do you like trying new restaurants? We do! My family tried the newly opened Sportsman Bar and Grill. Location is Eagle and Amity in the same complex with Albertsons. It was awesome!
This place offers the typical sports bar food with their own flair. The four of us ordered different burgers……mushroom burger, pastrami burger, bacon cheese burger with jalapeno and a double cheese burger. I didn’t get the names of the burgers but they are Idaho themed named.
Alissa was our server… she was fantastic! Very knowledgeable about the restaurant and menu. She told us about their build your own burger Mondays and $1 wing Tuesdays. She mentioned their happy hour 3-6….. half priced cocktails!! They will be doing a weekend bunch very soon.
This place has a patio where they have a firepit and corn hole boards. Will be very nice during the warmer weather.
Highly recommend if you get a chance to try them out.

Disappointed. We seated ourselves as there was no hostess present. We ordered right away. Then waited 1.5hrs with no food. Watched other orders sit in the pick up windows for atleast 20 minutes. Ultimately we left because we did not have an entire afternoon to wait.
