Wow what a find! First of all, happy hour pricing is an insanely good deal. The food was original and amazing and the drinks even better. I’m a Bloody Mary snob, and this was easily a top 5 all time. There’s pinballs and the service was fantastic.

FTWD burger with the loaded Brussels sprouts was on point. Crunch and flavor was awesome and their ipa was great. Fun herbaceous atmosphere and nice waitstaff!

Love this place. Tried it for the first time as we were passing through Salem. Called ahead to see if they had a patio for dogs and said dogs were allowed inside. Staff were super nice. Brought water and dog treats for our pups. Food was really good. Got The Banger to die for. It was great. Bread was toasted but super soft and fresh. Brat had great flavor. All around good meal. Had other patrons come and love on our pups. Great dining experience. Love how dog friendly they are.

While the atmosphere is nice, brew tasted good. We showed up and were seated. We got one of our drinks, then the waiter forgot about us saying “sorry I got distracted talking about cars”. Went to order food, out of pulled pork, and out of toast for French toast. We ended up waiting 45-50 minutes for food to come out to be soggy and barely warm.

When we noted that when the food was cold, host acted surprised.

Disappointed in the customer service, I’m sure that the food would have been much better being hot and fresh out of the kitchen.

Great spot off the Interstate to stop and have a burger and beer. Was starving after a long day of work and had some burgers and pulled pork, very tasty food. My friend ordered the Brussels sprouts, soo good!!! Staff was very friendly, atmosphere is very fun for the eyes. They have a meeting room to use. Some TVs for the game and I think I remember some pinball machines. If I am back in the area I Would go back for sure!

My flight included only one or two “merely acceptable” beers. Most were great. The food was good, especially my “Banger to Die For”. I highly recommend it, but only if you have an appetite.

If the owner is reading this, invest in some stickers. Apparently, I was the third person that day (late lunchtime) to ask about them.

I love the tree and the deco was nice We were greeted at the front and able to choose our own seat. We sat at a dark table and I had to use my phone flashlight to read the menu. I was charged $10 for a small non alcoholic drink – I felt that was overpriced for what I got. Tacos were good ($12) but I left feeling still hungry. Server came to check on us occasionally which was nice.

Went there to meet for lunch. Terrible service and mediocre beer at best. We were one of 2 people there for lunch on Sunday, granted a big group came in later. We sit down order water then takes awhile to get drinks, then another good minute for orders. Never checks in, we get half pur order they apologize say the rest will be there soon, order another beer while waiting. Never get the beer, only get half the other half. So one person got no food. They were barely apologetic. Sounds like Santiam brewery is a better option

I waited to write this review after my second visit just to make sure it wasn’t a one-off experience. Unfortunately, service was terrible both times and from the same staff member (today, 1/18 & 11/7 – yes I checked the dates). There seems to be an utter lack of basic customer service skills happening here and It seems FTWD is another instance where an owner wanted to create a cool concept, but failed on staffing and food quality standards. I worked front of house in restaurants and hotels for 15 years and I see this over and over again. If food is going to take 52 minutes, just get ahead of it and set the expectation. Don’t keep walking past your tables hoping no one will notice. Bring out some bread or crackers, especially if a table has a kiddo. You don’t even need to be that nice (she wasn’t), just act like you care. Act like you want your guests to be there – like you’re happy they’re dining with you. We’re here to spend money. We want to be out. When a customer asked for a new bun that is soggy, and then after 10 minutes you bring the bun, and they say “I’m so sorry but this burger is cold I’m just going to take the check” – don’t charge them for that burger! (This is besides the fact that the burger still had the seam from when it was frozen in a bag – probably a Costco pack). Definitely don’t snatch the plate from them and then bring a bill back with the burger in there. I don’t care if the table bought one things or $50+ in drinks (we did). That’s unacceptable! And I would NEVER then argue with that guest and tell them “I did what you asked?! I brought you a bun, what’s the problem?” In front of the whole bar, like it was the guest fault their food took the better part of an hour and it was cold and soggy. This is UNBELIEVABLE. Like seriously unbelievable behavior. This person should leave hospitality altogether. This isn’t for you.
To the owner: hire people that want to be there and are proud of the work they do. Hire inexperienced people who want to do good work over experienced people who don’t care. Restaurants rely on repeat customers, I hope FTWD wants to be in business for the next 20 years, not just the next 2.

Decent beer. Good food. Great atmosphere. Has real live plants everywhere, and pinball machines. Everyone says try the Brussels sprouts. I’m not kidding, try the Brussel sprouts.
