Find the door near the restrooms. The place is dimly lit, has a cozy atmosphere and, exceptional drinks courtesy of Grayson! His Old Fashioneds and Manhattans are next level!

What a great little spot to enjoy some top notch cocktails and small plates with your friends or significant other. We were greeted by super friendly people and led into a small but well appointed bar that showcased a large selection high end alcohol that was put to great use making fantastic cocktails. I highly encourage you to get the password of the day and give it a try. Reservations are required as they don’t take walk-ins.

We had a great time at 86 Speakeasy! Personally, I’ve been to fancier looking ones but I liked the vibe and very fitting for Eugene from my experience. I don’t remember the names of all the drinks we had but they were very good. My friend got the coffee one which was super cool! I was too busy watching to get a video of it but highly suggest it! And they weren’t even pretty, also tasted good. The calamari was also delicious! The person who sat us was nice and the bartenders were great! They are very busy turning out drinks the whole time but it’s fun to watch. It’s not a very big space but great for date or couple girls type of night!

Really disappointed by how bad this place has gotten. Took over 5 min to have the door answered. The bartender was either drunk or high, and literally knocked over a drink he was making. The drinks are $14+ but the bases they use are standard wells (you’re not even getting standard quality gin or bourbon in the drink you order off the menu). The bar was soaking wet, not a single cocktail napkin in sight. Also, your “reservation” is supposed to be for 75 minutes. The place was half empty and yet they closed us out at 60 minutes.

Been here once before right after it opened and it was a lot of fun. Now it’s just overpriced nonsense. Having been to speakeasys around the country, this experience was pathetic. Worse than a standard cocktail bar. You’re better off making cocktails at home–even if you’re inexperienced, it will be better the drink the bartender here threw together and had to remake because he spill it all over himself.

**two stars because they do have a solid selection of liquor. Otherwise, this was a one star experience through and through.

Throughly disappointing experience. What you cant see from the pictures is this is a hokey small room off of the main atrium that was clearly meant as a closet, resulting in poor acoustics and a stuffy atmosphere. Drinks were overly sweet and lacked any real flavour, certainly overly priced for their ingredients used and whilst the service wasnt bad it come across as forced.

*edit* they even use Ai to respond to reviews. Who knows if feedback even gets back to these people. They dont care.

The secret aspect is the hook. Drinks are strong but gorgeous. Food is more just tapas bar food. Service trained to push you along to turn the tables. Fun to visit once.

Grayson is a consummate mixologist, absolutely amazing. The presentation, flavor profiles on each drink, and overall ambience are breathtakingly exquisite. You’re missing out on something truly unique and wonderful if you come to Eugene and don’t visit. Ask him to experiment, you will be delighted and surprised at every turn. It has been the highlight of my sojourn into the southern valley. What a magical experience. Truly, they should sell tickets to this.

Whole experience was wonderful! The atmosphere, food, drinks and service were all great! The bar tender (didn’t catch his name but we went in today 2/15/2025 at 9:30) was fun and a great bar tender! The chicken sliders and parmesan fries were phenomenal. Whole speakeasy experience was a 10/10. Will be coming back!
