I loved being able to choose from their wide variety of drinks – from craft cocktails to local brews. It’s a fun and relaxed place to enjoy an evening out.
I went for a cute little “girl dinner,” and the host encouraged my friend and me to sit at the bar in their speakeasy. The tables feature QR codes for easy ordering through Toast, which is particularly convenient, especially if you use Toast often. The food was delicious…even the gluten-free dishes were fantastic.
Unfortunately, the service was horrible. We sat down and weren’t greeted at all. I had to wave the server down multiple times throughout the night. She apologized for being “busy,” but the bar was clearly quiet, and she spent most of the time chatting with other guests. She never offered us water, and we watched her greet other guests immediately upon arrival while ignoring ours.
Our food came out before our drinks, which we had to ask the runners for. The server never checked on our food (which she had rung in incorrectly) and didn’t even bring us our check — we had to ask for it. We arrived around 5 PM and didn’t leave until close to 9 PM, despite ordering only a small amount of food because we spent most of the night waiting to be served.
To make matters worse, my friend was double-charged, and we were billed incorrectly for the wrong items. As much as I enjoyed the meal and appreciated the inclusive menu, the service was downright disappointing.
The layout is cool—cozy sit-down areas, a speakeasy-style bar, and a big screen TV if you’re in the mood for a game.
The food? Limited menu but packed with flavor—don’t miss the craft burger, fish tacos, or chicken rigatoni.
Only miss was the non-alcoholic piña colada—tasted more like a tropical soda than a vacation in a glass. Still, totally worth the visit!
The truffle fries with garlic sauce were a big hit.
Our server was great but at the end, she told us that we should have mentioned that we were not all on the same check. Honestly, we hadn’t thought about it until it was time to pay. Maybe ask the party in the beginning if we’re all on the same check. She accommodated us. We were happy.
I can’t say enough good things about Common Craft in Burlington. The food here is seriously outstanding—fresh, creative, and consistently delicious. Whether you’re grabbing a casual bite or sitting down for a full dinner, every dish feels thoughtfully prepared and full of flavor. You can really tell the kitchen takes pride in what they serve.
What really sets this place apart, though, is how well it’s run. The staff is incredibly professional—friendly, attentive, and always on point without being pushy. Everything runs smoothly, and it’s clear the management knows what they’re doing. It makes for such a relaxed and enjoyable dining experience.
Also worth mentioning: Common Craft is perfect for private events. I recently attended a gathering there, and it was flawless. The space is modern and comfortable, the service was seamless, and the food (as always) was a hit. If you’re looking for a spot to host a group or special occasion, definitely keep this place in mind.
Highly recommend all around—food, service, atmosphere, everything. A real gem in the Burlington area.
