My family had a fantastic meal here over Labor Day weekend. Beautiful views, great service, and delicious food! The Cesar salad was spectacular and the Detroit style pepperoni pizza was incredible. I had seen pictures of a menu for here that included pasta but when we visited there were starters, salads, vegetables, and pizza only. Despite the slight disappointment to not get to try their pasta dishes, the food didn’t let us down!

Gorgeous view of the river. Our waiter was very friendly and the food was great. We had the shishito pizza and kale salad. The kombucha was delicious and local. My dog seemed to enjoy the atmosphere too

Also, there is a fishing dock and a small garden outside to admire if you have to wait for a table.

Great food along the coast is hard to come by, so stop in! Great food, views and atmosphere. Friendly service and good vibes.
Had a young one with us and they had high chairs and were super accommodating.

This was a standout spot. Our best meal in a 10-day Oregon road trip. Unforgettable. Local ingredients and deep commitment to quality. Everything was perfect. Pizza is unreal.

SALMONBERRY!

Thank you officially (after multiple visits) for continued excellence! Sean is always our server and he’s a gem – takes fabulous care of us PERIOD! Your whole team from the bartender bringing out our cocktails do the owner food running it’s an excellent experience! So many fabulous gluten-free options – the food and beverage situation here is on par! Killer portion sizes and phenomenally fresh. Just wish you were in Tillamook but a girl can’t have everything…

Best Detroit style pizza you will ever have! It will litterally blow your mind. It’s spendy but it’s so good that for me a 3 hours drive for it was well worth it and that’s exactly what I did and with zero regrets. All I can say is try it and see for yourself! I will be back often just for that pizza regardless of the drive from Eugene!!!

My friend and I stopped in here last week for dinner. We both loved the location and ambience. We sat near the back of the restaurant and where able to overlook the Wheeler Marina and Bay. Fish were jumping, the sun was out, and it was a beautiful evening. The food was very good, tasted fresh and flavorful, and was well presented. We shared a street corn appetizer, I had the rockfish tacos, and my friend had the pork tacos. The only thing that was a bit less than ideal was the wait–but it was very busy, so I can’t really complain much. Overall I would absolutely recommend this spot for a tasty dinner in a great location.

The mushroom pizza was the best pizza I’ve ever had! The kale salad was great too – flavorful and refreshing. The portions here are huge and made from quality ingredients. Finally, the service was outstanding and everyone left happy. Can’t wait to be back!

A must try!

NOTE: Had to drop a star because the second time back we got our food in 3 minutes.. not exaggerating! Salad, oysters, pasta – BOOM, instantly served. Couldn’t tell if they were just trying to get people out of there to turn tables or just wanted us to eat cold pasta by the time we got through the salad and oysters. Not a great experience.

Beautiful location, knockout food and drinks, friendly staff.. and happy people enjoying the outdoor seating and sun by the water!

Killer pizza and pasta, everything we tried was great. Try it out!

In a tourist community, if you want a good restaurant, you eat where the locals and suppliers eat. On the north Oregon coast that place would be The Salmonberry. The food is amazing– homemade pasta cooked to perfection and sauced with locally sourced seafood, meat, and vegetables (even seaweed!), house made sausage, the best oysters on the coast, local cider, and homemade desserts to die for. (Where else does the pastry chef forage for her ingredients?) And oh my gosh the pizzas alone would be worthy of a visit.
Prices are in line with other nice restaurants, but at Salmonberry the portions match the prices. Last week, I ate there with a friend and we shared one app, one salad, one pasta, and one dessert, and we still had leftovers to take home. The menu changes frequently depending on local harvest and I have yet to order anything I wouldn’t order again. Favorites: I had a black and blue ribeye that was THE BEST steak I’ve ever eaten. (I’m afraid to order steak anywhere else now.) Try any salad but when local tomatoes come in, order two. The dulse seaweed laced bucatini with clams is a local favorite you have to try. Unless lamb is on the menu, then get both. Vegetarian options are available too. Kudos to the Chef and staff for the variety and quality of the menu!
All that great food wouldn’t need a fantastic sunset, water view, or a great staff and a casual fun atmosphere. But Salmonberry has that going on too. BTW, like many Portland and local restaurants, you order at the counter and grab your own silverware. Please don’t complain about this while you are standing in line. If it bothers you, go eat someplace else. Really your biggest challenge with Salmonberry is you will want to order everything. Not a bad problem to have!
