I was really hungry and felt like I can eat anything today and I was so wrong, everything we ordered was very poorly cooked and I could not stop myself from asking the staff where is the chef from and I found out he is not from India, I was not surprised. I have not had such food before, it was definitely not Indian food, then the staff also explained to me that they cook it for the locals and it is far from the authentic Indian food.

Really dissapointing take away this evening, a bright red/ orange Chicken Tikka Massala that must have had half a bottle of ketchup in it, served with the smallest Nan ive ever seen. This used to be the best Indian in Kirkie!!

Been in at lunch time today but we ordered from Alacarte menu portions of starters are really small according to prices.Makhan Masala was nice but Biryani was not good, chicken in biryani was not cooked well. Requested chef for replacing it or re-cook it but he was very rude. There was an other girl who tried to resolve this issue really well. Thanks for her service. But we won’t be back.

Horrendous delivery. Food was so cold the butter had hardened on bread. Ordered a korma and received something else that was orange with chilli’s. The garlic bread was burnt to a crisp also. I emailed the restaurant and received no reply.

Just moved to Kirkintilloch and tried the buffet. Fantastic range of Currys on offer with each as good as the last! Cannot recommend highly enough. Naan bread was superb. Thoroughly recommend either the Bhuna or the Masala from the buffet. All the staff were incredibly nice and the restaurant itself has a fantastic atmosphere in a big airy space. Prices fantastic as well, won’t break the bank. Brilliant experience all in all, we’ll be back!

Had a lovely meal at the Indian cottage. Food was delicious and the service was great even though the place was busy.
They also catered for my family party and provided delicious food that went down well.

Went for lunch on Thursday, genuinely was terrible. They should up the prices & actually give you a half decent sized portion. The chicken pakora was 3 tiny sized strips. The mains there was barely any sauce at all and the naan bread fell apart it was that thin.
I will stick to takeaways from here as that’s usually better quality at night but over all extremely disappointing.
Used to love going for lunch here, I know the cost of living crisis has affected everywhere and their wanting to seem competitive for lunch but at least charge 3-5 pound more and give a decent meal.

Long time since we had last been but my wife and I turned up last Saturday night for our 8pm booking and we were the only 2 people in the restaurant.
Fortunately whilst eating another 6 people came in but still very quiet for a Saturday night
Despite this the food was good and service was very quick
The fact the restaurant was so quiet on a Saturday night would put me off going back as there was no atmosphere and appeared almost as many staff as customers
