We were looking for a new place to try and saw 1843 on Pisos food review. It’s in the heart of downtown Coweta, near some really cute boutique stores. We started off with the pork rinds which were still sizzling when they hit the table. Good flavor. The only thing I would change about them was the sauce they were served with. The bbq sauce was good, but I think queso would have been even better. I ordered the salmon. It came with asparagus and mashed potatoes. Cooked perfectly with a spicy sweet sauce. Would order this again, but I want to try different things! Hubs got the meatloaf and let me try. Great smoky flavor there. We finished with the strawberry shortcake. Fluffy and sweet. The waiter was telling us that they do have live music sometimes, so check that out if you’re interested. Would 100% come back!

We were seated, 3 other groups were seated after us who received service. They got their waters, drinks and orders in, while we still sat and waited. Can’t say what the food was like, but the service was lacking. We watch every one after us, get drinks and service.

Great food and service! Fresh and very tasty,definitely would be back ! The shrimp & grits are the best minus the extra butter. Everything is fair priced for the portion and quality of the food you get , I appreciate the option of a dinner special on a Sunday night with dessert options that are delicious as well. Definitely recommend!

First time dining here. Service & food was amazing. Husband had the CK Fried Steak & I had Pulled Pork Mac N Cheese. Both were amazing. Live music started shortly after arriving & he was very good. We will definitely go back.

This place is a great place with an excellent selection of tasty and satisfying meals. The chicken fried steak, catfish, shrimp, and steaks are all cooked to perfection.
The staff is warm, personable, and make you feel like family. The bartender is knowledgeable, skilled, and is able to match you with a great drink if they do not have your preferred brand in stock.
It is a great place for a special night out, entertaining guests, or forget the entire family.

My wife and I had a late dinner after visiting the wildflower meadow. I tried the chicken fried chick and she had the tortellini. Both were fantastic. The gravy was spot on and the tortellinis were the perfect amount of cheese in them. Will definitely be back.

Only reason why this isn’t getting five stars is that I think it’s a little overpriced for what you get.
My glass of wine was tiny and I paid over $14 for a slice of carrot cake. I was mind blown at the price. I happened to grab it on our way out and had to double take when I looked at the receipt. It was good, but it wasn’t $14 good. We probably spent more than others, as we both had drinks with our dinner, but overall, we would be back. Just won’t be getting dessert
The steaks were amazing though and my son fell in love with how gooey the mozzarella sticks were.

I debated back and forth on weather or not I was going to leave a review for this particular visit; this review is strictly fir the service that evening. So we go to 1843 all the time, so much so I look at fb for the special daily to see if I want to go to dinner. On Thursady the 23rd we decided to go for their steak special. We were seated, and then nothing for at least 10 to 15 minutes. During that time I was able to see two waitresses inside the kitchen just chit chatting, one waitress rolling silverware, the hostess checking on one table at least two times during this time, and the bar tender just chatting with one patron sitting at the bar and wiping counters who had already completed his meal. The whole time no one acknowledged us in any way, not even to say someone would be right with us. After 15 minutes of being completely ignored the bar tender finally decided to come over, at that point we were really upset and decided to leave. It was the worst service there ever, we have never felt so invisible at this restaurant and are genuinely disappointed. Even if they were understaffed or there was confusion on who was suppose to be our server. After 5 minutes I feel we should of been acknowledged by someone especially if a few of them were just chatting in the kitchen/bar area. I’m hoping we can give them another shot because usually the food and service are great, but this evening was very disappointing.
