Snacks are great. Drinks are great. But you come here for the people. Rama and Mark have made a place that feels like home… with local legends like Lexi and Megan behind the bar, and Josh and Bri in the kitchen… They have open mics and karaoke that are in a different room, so when the singer is good you can go listen, and if you don’t want to listen you can go inside… best of both worlds… pool table… cozy corners everywhere… and all the local love. Make sure you check out the bathroom decor… in each of the bathrooms.

One of the treasures if you’re exploring the Granary/Alpine District. 1109 has a lot of heart, in fact it is technically, logistically the heart of the district. I love it for the quality of the drinks and the atmosphere. They’ve done it up right so you’re enjoying yourself in a place with some soul, charm and comfort. And the music is well curated, to say the least. It’s hard to put your finger on it, but the place is just overall cool.

We had an ok experience at the Lafayette Bar. Other reviewers say it has a speakeasy theme, which I didn’t get at all. It has more of a dark and dingy Portland dive bar vibe. Not bad honestly, I think that Lafayette’s atmosphere fills void in Mac, which is full of modern/trendy bars.
What was disappointing is the drinks. The menu is full of all the classic 20’s cocktails (I guess that’s where the speakeasy part comes from?). They are all super basic and by the book. No riffs, no creative expressions. Just the basics that anyone can easily make at home. Not bad, except the prices are inconsistent and frankly absurd. $18 for a bees knees or clover club? What!? Way over priced considering the local competition.
We’ll keep an eye on this bar but probably won’t return any time soon.

Kindness & Compassion
This is a new bar in town run by great local people and long restaurant and bar workers . The atmosphere is excellent . They play great music. Excellent cocktails. Good food and options with prices that are affordable. A super cozy place to hang out with friends or make new ones. Nice zones for conversation. It’s my new favorite place for sure. Highly recommended.

Hands down BEST BAR in town. The owners are wonderful people. The bar is gorgeous, classy, and edgy all at once. Each area is roomier than you’d think, *CLEAN* comfortable and the vibe is just right. Friendly down to earth old school Mcminnville with heart! I’m so HAPPY this place is here Thank you for a wonderful place to spend our anniversary evening for many years to come. So many laughs with excellent staff

Super cringe. This place tries way too hard to be hip in every way, and fails miserably. Just one example of many: it looks like they went to Ross and got a bunch of bras and underwear with tags still on to hang on their chandeliers. I can see that this would be a cool look if it was the type of place that earned those undies after years of homding epic punk rock shows. Is it though? Nope. Clearly staged. Everything is staged, dupped and fake.

The owner is a super chill person with a lot of personality, and the decor reflects that. It’s a really cozy and warm place, simple food, fantastic craft cocktails. Please, do yourself a favor and visit this wonderful new bar.
The staff is also so warm and friendly, hospitality forward for sure. They got some of the best industry folks this town has to offer. I will be back!
