I couldn’t decide what we were going to eat (affordably) in the area. I saw this place and, though I was not familiar with it, decided to give it a try. Their menu items sounded delicious. Ultimately, we selected a pulled pork with the macaroni and cheese side, and pulled chicken with the collard greens side.
I return to the table and now I’m looking all around and I see the memorabilia sports items sure, but also a lot of it honoring veterans, first responders, and many more. There were many different units showcased (Army First Cavalry – like my Dad, for example).
Back to the food.. on the table, there are 6 different bbq sauce varieties available (think Texas, Kansas City, Smokey Bbq, etc.), plus a bottle labeled NC vinegar. The food was ready for me to grab from the counter. The pork was absolutely delicious and full of flavor. The chicken was tasty as well. The collard greens were very salty, which is often needed for collards tbh. The mac and cheese had a crispy crunch on the top and was so delicious! This is what you need to get!
Seriously! And, it’s one of the few that also doesn’t have soggy noodles either, al dente, people!! Lol well, they got the memo and it shows! I tried a dab of each of the sauces on the side dipping in the pork. The smokey, KC, and even the NC vinegar bottle splashed on the side were my favorites! The Texas had a heavy mustard presence (I don’t like most mustards), if you do this may be one for you.
Finally, after selecting the ones I liked, I put some right of over the top, emphasizing that vinegar, Idk why that one just hits! Anyway, give them a try if you’ve got one nearby. They also presented me with a mystery envelope which I must keep sealed until my return in Feb. to open in front of them for a guaranteed free item or meal. Excited to see what it is. Go get yours!

Totally not what we were expecting for a chain BBQ restaurant…. It was fast, convenient and very easy to decide what we wanted. Doesn’t stop there, the food was absolutely AMAZING!! The meats are all fresh, juicy, never frozen, and full of flavor explosions!! I do have to say the Brisket is a MUST TRY!! One of the best parts is the 6 pack of BBQ sauces at the table for slathering up the meat!! They even have a homemade North Carolina vinegar based sauce next to the 6 pack.(my fav) Went with the 3 meat platter!! Creamed corn and the Cheesy Potatoes!! Cornbread was PERFECT!! Saved the best for last… this place has a bunch of pictures, tributes, memorabilia in every corner you look in for the service men and women of our country that serve proudly or have served proudly. Their slogan says it all “Proudly Serving Those Who Serve.” Give them a check out!! You won’t regret it!! Very reasonably priced food too!! We will be back!!

I ordered take out because I am traveling solo for work. It was ready when I arrived, the staff member reviewed my order with me to make sure everything was there and was very pleasant to deal with. I returned to my hotel to eat my meal. It was delicious! I had pulled pork, brisket, baked beans, mashed sweet potato, and corn bread. I also tried a few different sauces since I had never eaten here before. I also ordered a salad, but the portions were good size and I didn’t have room for the salad. I’ll eat that tomorrow……Everything was great and cooked well. I recommend trying it out if you are in the area!

Took my dad here for his 50th birthday, group of 4 and it was less than $120. All of us got a decent amount of food, plus an order of wings. Service here was top notch, shout out to Katherine for her great service. They sent out free samples every 30 mins and for our first time going we got to try one of their Brownies. The samples were great, especially the apple cobbler, the brownie was also solid. The actual bbq was pretty good, I’d personally recommend the pulled pork and the smoked turkey. The brisket was a little dry, it was a lean cut, and the wings tasted great but also just a little dry, but not bad by any means. We also really appreciated the free sandwich cards for our next visit, will definitely come back to use that.

If you’re looking for fantastic BBQ. This place is your answer. The gentleman at the counter did a fantastic job explaining the menu to us and our food came out very quickly. Everything in house is fresh.

In town on business staying at an extended stay hotel and happened to come across Mission BBQ. As a first timer I had no clue what to do. (There is a line que immediately upon entry, and a large hanging menu of choices.) As I waited a young boy in line behind me recommended the ribs, and described them as “awesome and dry rubbed”. He sold it! I ordered the ribs and the seasonal cheesy potatoes. I ordered my dinner to go, and John who appeared to be a manager, packaged my food up, explaining everything I was getting- rib rack, dry rubbed and smoked; cornbread in the foil, the cheesy potato side; and then the six different bbq sauces, each with its unique signature. The service was amazing, with multiple crew members assisting with my questions- but the food- even better. The rib meat fell right off of the bones and the dry rub really held its own. I tried the sauces, only because I felt I had been treated so well I would be disappointing the staff if I didn’t! The sweet Memphis Belle and the spicy Tupelo Hot Honey were both great! But the ribs really did not need anything extra. The cheesy potatoes were savory and yummy, and the cornbread was thick. Overall a wonderful experience and I hope to return. The owner should be proud of the crew they have helping customers here, and the quality of food they are serving.

This was our first time coming here.y fiancé and I love bbq and have been looking for a long time. Well I can say this place had great bbq, service and atmosphere. Something like a Texas bbq restaurant. I had the brisket and pull chicken.y fiancé had the chicken half a bird. Side we had were Mac n cheese, it was cheesy, so good. Collard greens were not what I was use to but it was good and they add tomatoes which gave it a freshness to it. My fiance had the baked beans, it as smoky and sweet, get balance of both. He also had fries, fresh cut and fried to perfection. The meal comes with a sweet corn bread. At the table is an assortment of bbq sauce to try and a bc vinegar which gave my greens a little extra flavor that I loved. Come try it out, it’s worth it.

Well, this place rocks! Absolutely fall-off-the-bone meats…. there’s no bones in brisket but you know what I mean. Ribs, pulled chicken, mac&cheese, cole slaw, all excellent! Love the counter format, too. Quick serve but eat slow! Also, great, friendly service.

The restaurant was pristine and smelled wonderfully bbq. We were greeted pleasantly by the staff who was able to answer all of our questions about the menu and was so patient.
The food was hot and was served quickly. The manager explained everything about the food prep and who was there to help if we needed anything.
I only wish that this is how all restaurants trained the staff to be this kind it would make the dining experience any place with the trip and the price. Well done Mission BBQ Colonie.
