This was an amazing experience. I ordered the buttered chicken, potato samosa and garlic naan. The food was so delicious and flavorful. You don’t find too many places where the food is filled with flavor. The buttered chicken was perfectly paired with the basmati rice and the naan was flavored with garlic and butter *whew*. My server was so sweet. I will definitely be back. The drink was delicious as well! I had the raspberry lemon drop

We planned a friends’ get-together here with a group of 22 people, including adults and little ones (from under a year to 3 years old). The staff accommodated us really well and handled all our orders smoothly.
They have a wide range of beers, cocktails, and even Indian beers, which was a nice surprise. Out of everything we tried, the Karampodi Chicken, Garlic Shrimp, Crispy Corn, and Mutton Biryani were my favorites. The rest of the dishes Mutton Ghee Roast, Apollo Fish, Boneless Chicken Biryani, Naan, Kadai curries, and more were also very good.
Overall, we had a great time. This place is a must-try for small gatherings as well as regular lunch or dinner outings. Friendly staff and they also offer catering services.

Great authentic Indian cuisine. Food was hot, came out relatively quickly for the crowd there. Service was excellent. Wait staff was super friendly. You can customize your slice level which was really cool. A huge menu with lots of exploring to do! Great artwork. Lights were a little bit bright and the tables were a little crowded, could maybe dim the lighting some and separate the tables somehow.

We have dined here several times now and found the food to be flavorful and well made each time. The butter chicken is the best I’ve had and the garlic shrimp are great. The place is clean and fresh, the staff are friendly and the food is great. Glad to have this place in our neighborhood.

Drove from Seven Springs, about an hour away to visit. I saw their ad on Facebook and we love dosa so we had to come. I was thrilled to see they had Sambar and Ildi which is so hard to find here. The lobby was beautiful and the service was great. So many places but cheap silverware or don’t really think about the plates. This place is amazing beautiful pottery bowls for the chutneys and wonder portions. They also accommodate vegans which is so wonderful. I cannot recommend this place enough. It’s our new favorite.

My husband and I were looking for a great Indian cuisine restaurant close to us. Our first time eating at Desi Tavern and we loved it. The food was so good and quite a bite of food for the money. We had left overs. Our server was so sweet. Service was exceptional. They were fast, courteous, and our wait time was minimal. Beautiful place and peaceful. We recommend this restaurant.

Found this place online while in Garner NC. Everything that was ordered was very good and portion size was perfect. Medium spice level was just right for me and I do enjoy spicy food.
The Naan bread was good.
Butter chicken was amazing.
Tandoori chicken was awesome along with the Inidan fried rice.
I will definitely come back for more of the food.
Also my first time trying Old Monk beer…very refreshing and tasty.
For sure stop by and give Desi Tavern a try you won’t be disappointed.

JoCo finally has a proper Indian restaurant! Desi Tavern has the best Indian food in the area. The staff are exceedingly nice and accommodating, the dining room is clean and cozy – comfortable yet modern. The atmosphere is a blend family sit-down restaurant and sports pub – all seekers of quality Indian food will be happy here! My 10-year-old son has chosen Desi Tavern as his favorite restaurant.

On the matter of spice, you get exactly what you ask for- if you ask for non-spicy, you’ll get a tasty, non-spicy item.. If you ask for mild, you get mild.. if you are like me and ask for spicy or ‘very spicy’ you will not be disappointed!!
