Rarely do i EVER give 5 stars for a restaurant but these guys are almost ALWAYS perfect when it comes to the food, service, and atmosphere.
To start off, the sicilian slices are delicious, thick, and crispy. Loved the cheese and pizza toppings. They use good mozzarella at this place. I will always recommend people to get sicilian here,
The wings are probably the best wings iv’e had. Im from the South so we take out Chiken wings and BBQ serious down there. Amazingly crispy, high quality meat, absolutely fulfilling.
The buffalo pizza however, i was not a fan of. Tasted great, but there was a lot of sag on it and the cheese and toppings kept slipping off almost making not edible as a slice of pizza.
This place is great though and seems like a hidden gem tucked next to a shoprite. I recommend ANYBODY visiting North Jersey to try this place out at least one time and go for the Sicilian slices. Great prices too. $3 for a slice of sicilian is great and budget friendly if you are trying to feed the kids.

Upon arrival as first-timers at this family-owned establishment, my partner and I were greeted by the staff and got a booth.
Their menu is diverse, featuring beloved staples such as pizzas, subs, calzones, a variety of meat, pasta dishes, and a lunch special.
We decided on two regular slices and two Sicilian. The pizzas were tasty and hit the spot. The portion was healthy and didn’t break the wallet. Our server Donna was friendly and made us feel at home.

This review will be one of the most deserved reviews I will have written in a while. I started going to Gencarelli’s when I was a mere 6th grader, calling them after school and saying that I had wanted a “large cheese pie that was clean cut”. Originally, they had no idea what I meant, but after I explained it to them, they had made the pie perfectly to my liking, and that’s why I appreciate them so much. It has now been more than 4 years since, and I still order Gencarelli’s pizza, despite moving to a different town. I had came to Gencarelli’s for parties, hangouts with friends after school, and I received the same kind and respectful treatment I got from the staff, and that’s something I’ll be able to appreciate deeply. I won’t be able to easily forget the service, the beautiful atmosphere, and especially, the kind and blessed people that serve people that come to eat every single day.

One plain slice and one buffalo chicken slice. The plain slice was better than average. The crust had a great taste to it. Great sauce to cheese ratio. On a scale of 1 to 10 I would give this a 7.6 on a plain slice. The buffalo slice has the same taste on the crust with a nice tolerable heat and nice tang. Chicken was supper moist. A lot of the times the chicken is dry and will scratch the roof of your mouth. This slice is an 8.5 out of 10.

This was our 1st time ordering from here and we ordered because we seen they had good reviews. But honestly it definitely was not worth the hype. We had calamari that was soggy and you can taste the freezer in it, it was not crunchy as if it had been fried and the marinara for the calamari had chunks of whole tomatoes in it which makes no sense because there’s no way to pick up the tomatoes on the calamari. I will say the flavor of the marinara was good though. Our pizza was a plain pizza that was over cooked and had a bit of a burnt bottom. We also had garlic knots as well but they were pretty ok for the most part. Honestly i can’t say that we will be ordering from here again, maybe it was just an off day for them. Also this was a delivery order not a diner in experience.

The service was a 5, excellent. The portions were huge for the price which was affordable. The bread they gave us was delicious. The rest of the food was ok. Like I said huge portions and great service. May have needed a little more flavor, but I would go back to try other dishes. They had quite a variety of items to choose from.
