Went here on 10/22/25 and the service was less than professional or acceptable as the male employee taking drive thru orders that night appeared to be high as there was a strong odor of marijuana coming from him and the window. He couldn’t get the order right upon taking it at the drive thru, he didn’t understand what we were saying so there was trouble there. And once receiving our order, he was confused and dazed and didn’t hand us straws or the additional drink we ordered. He kept asking if everything was alright as if he was paranoid he didn’t get it right, or messed something up. When we asked for our additional drink, he gave us another tea and not the soda we were missing. When we stated we’re missing a drink he kept asking huh, we had to keep repeating what we were missing. The employee behind him was watching him and trying to understand what was going on. He then says, “I didn’t hear nothing about you ordering no frosty”, was said again, no, we’re missing a drink not a frosty, we didn’t say frosty, we said a drink. We ordered 4, not 3”. He than gave us the drink which ended up being incorrect. At that point we just accepted the lost of what we actually ordered.

If you place on online “drive thru” order they tell you they have to make it and to come to the counter. No crap, you have to make it. that is the same thing that would be needed if I order at the speaker. Except then you wouldn’t have to walk in. Tarboro Wendy’s is always the worst around. I guess I should know better by now.

As I writing this review… I am in shock that I have been in line for 35 minutes and haven’t even made it to the speaker to order yet… I have never in my life experienced a slow Wendy’s as this one… I have a 45 minute lunch and Wendy’s being 10 minutes from my job, I will now be late going back in. Fast food isn’t fast anymore. Customer service isn’t the same. & the fact that I could potentially be pointed at work because I actually waited in line… Wendy’s ought to be ashamed of themselves as an organization.
Update: FRIES COLD! Ice COLD! If I could give this location 0 stars, I would. MAJOR DISAPPOINTMENT!

I ordered my food at there dumb level which was a number 8 she named several other numbers and what they were and still tried to give me something different. The restaurant was locked at 9:36am . The woman talking to me couldn’t enunciate appreciate or the word ask .

So I just went right now through the drive thru and the guy on the mic was rude and rushing me to give my order. Then when I went to the window they barely had any refreshments (they didn’t have coke, dr.pepper, etc). I got a taco salad and the salsa, tortilla chips and crackers were all expired! The oldest thing was the tortilla chips and it expired in September! Then the chili was so watery and weird looking, never going back! Oh and also two of the workers when I was being given my order were arguing and yelling “NO-UH DONT TALK TO ME!” It was honestly very unprofessional and ghetto.

Stopped through this morning on my way to an engagement. Pulled in drive thru no customers in front of me or behind me. Only ordered 1 breakfast burrito sandwich. Proceed to the second window to make my purchase. Lady at the after she received my payment asked me to park at the door and she would bring my food out. Almost 10 mins later no food. I reversed back to the window and asked for a refund. When I looked in the window staff standing around doing nothing! Will not visit this location again. The manager had no issue giving me a refund, but it appears the staffing is performing to her expectations! 0 customer care and timeliness!!

New update: It’s been over three months now since my last post about Wendy’s. And the Management still has yet to reply on it, I knew they didn’t care. Remember this is a worldwide post and all Wendy’s upper management can see this. They need to, this place gives the name a bad reputation.
I will not rate them. Avoid this place. I just moved back home, and I’ve ” tried” to go there to get food. But there is always a problem in this store. I’ve been there 3 times and all 3 times there was a problem. I don’t think they have any management, I’ve ask all three times and I was told, they out for lunch. I will not go back, and I tell everyone I know what happened to me. And most people I know say they’ve had similar problems. I’d rather cross the road and go to Bojangles. “Beware of this place”. Oh and I’m sure nobody in management will even read or respond to this rating.

The service used to be a lot better here. The past 3 times I’ve been I was told there was a 30 to 40 minute for baked potatoes. Other than that the food is always good.
