My wife and I had our small wedding planned nearby and, being longtime Georgia residents, shared a loving affinity for WaHo. We thought, “How great would it be to have our reception at Waffle House?” I wasn’t sure if they would go for it, but I called up the management team here at the Ellijay location and pitched them the idea. They said they were happy to accommodate us and our guests, so we set the date and continued planning.
I have to say, the staff’s performance and care was far beyond our expectations. The food was wonderful, the staff was enthusiastic and welcoming, the facility was well kept, and the whole experience was a resounding success with our whole party.
If you’re looking for a nice place with friendly staff to enjoy some of the best breakfast food in the South, I can’t recommend these lovely folks enough. They truly make this Waffle House into a Waffle Home.

I will say the food was well cooked but this was the worst ran Waffle House I’ve even been in. Table was dirty, no team work setting people up , never seen our waitress Beth again after we got our food. Expediter did not know how to call her orders out. Manager sat in her office instead of helping and teaching her team. And no toilet paper in the ladies room.

My wife enjoyed her Omelette.My grits were cold. Gine, our server, was personable and totally competent! Then, on paying our bill, I experienced the worst cashier experience in recent memory! Since Waffle House moved up to the nineteenth century’s version of Hi-Tech, they train their employees to be totally process-oriented and assume nobody knows how to self-serve when paying by credit card. The cashier, though friendly, started by pointing each step of leaving tips, and other steps of paying. I told her I didn’t need her assistance. She said she was doing her job. She kept saying that. All she has to do was tell me to follow the
prompts and wait until I had finished. It was not her fault. Management trains it Waffle House people to follow a script and be “in process”. I told the cashier she was acting like a robot. She said, “I am doing my job. One can go out of business being “efficient”.

I typically have wonderful experiences when I go to the store. The food is usually great. And today was no different. The only issue I really had was I had a server. I wasn’t familiar with her but her name Tag said jess and she had blue hair. I’m all about some cool looking hair. But her hair was down all over the place, and I even found it in my food, I was kind of disappointed. She never returned to ask for a refill and was constantly on her phone sitting down.
I have my favorites at this location.And she’s definitely not one of them

This is a new location for Waffle House and it’s absolutely excellent for breakfast. A great team of folks led by excellent management. The restaurant is clean and the food comes out quick and consistent. I’ve been very impressed each time I’m in and it’s the people that work there along with the manager that make it a fun and special experience each time.

The food was perfect, our waitress was AMAZING! She bought my 1 year old daughter a waffle because I told her it was her first time eating at Waffle House, just so sweet and thoughtful. Already can’t wait to go back!

Walked in and wasn’t greeted with the usual waffle house friendly greeting. Sat down and waited. Several waitor/waitresses passed by still no greeting or a “we’ll be with you in a moment.” Finally, we grew tired of waiting for service and left. We will not return to this waffle house again.

Had breakfast at the Brand New Waffle House. Eggs, bacon, grits and hash browns came out fast and really good! Our server, Gina, was very attentive and courteous. We’ll definitely be back!!
