This is one of the best cooking class experiences I’ve ever attended! If you’re looking for a fun and new experience in the dmv, I highly highly recommend participating in this cooking class.

We booked this experience as a fun Saturday night activity with a large group of us. The manager Nishaant was first to greet us and provided exceptional customer service, going out of his way to ensure we were all accommodated. As someone who works in the customer space and attended numerous cooking experiences around the world, his care was exemplary.

As we moved into the class itself, chef Rita blew me away with her technique, charisma, and efficiency. Her Italian charm took me back to my cooking experiences abroad in the mountains of Italy.

Lastly, the cocktail class- another highlight. Jose C and Jose P were both stars of the restaurant. Their cocktail knowledge and teaching tactics were impressive to say the least. Their ability to command attention and keep engagement for such a large group had me stunned. We paid for a cocktail class, but we got a personalized, humorous, and professional experience that I will be recommending to all my friends.

Worth every single penny, this was one the most fun yet unique experiences I’ve had here in the dmv.

One of the best experiences in the DMV! From the moment we stepped into the building, the manager, Nishaant, warmly welcomed our large group and made us feel right at home. The pizza-making class was incredible—Chef Rita, straight out of Italy, walked us through an authentic way to make pizza, and her energy and deep knowledge truly made the experience 10x better.

To top it all off, our cocktail instructors, Jose C and Jose P, were phenomenal. Their sense of humor and charisma made the class so much fun and kept the energy high the entire time. I loved everyone’s vibe, the pizza tasted amazing, and I would absolutely recommend this as a great activity for friends or a fun date night!

Went here for a pizza and cocktail class and had a blast.

The pizza making portion of the class was informative and fun! The toppings selections were great. The pizza itself was amazing. The crust and the sauce were so good. The pizza also reheats so well!

The cocktail making portion of the class was also informative and fun! We had two drink options and learned about the different things that go into making a good cocktail.

This is perfect for a fun date night or a birthday party event. I highly recommend The Commentary!

Had an amazing night out at the commentary pizza class and cocktail making!!! Definitely worth it! Chef Rita was amazing and such a great instructor. Jose P and Jose C were such charming and charismatic people. Definitely made the experience worth it. Pizza came out amazing and drinks were insane. Nishant in the front greeted us, seated us and accommodated our big party. 100/10!! Consider this place for date night or a fun night out with friends 🙂

The Commentary is an upscale, yet still casual hotel restaurant. It is located inside the Westin and there is parking on-site. You can make a reservation; however my husband and I dined early on a Saturday evening and we were able to pick our table. The dining room is large with both traditional table and lounge seating options. The bar area also is nicely setup and has seating. They offer a good variety of cocktails, beer and wine. The food menu is also diverse enough to satisfy most patrons, to include vegetarian options. We each ordered a cocktail and enjoyed those with the baked brie appetizer. For our main dish we ordered the house burger and the steak. Both came out perfect and the timing of the food arrival was also great in my opinion. We plan to definitely comeback again sometime. Thanks!

I booked the pizza and cocktail class for mine and my boyfriend’s anniversary, and we had an absolutely fabulous time! Rita was so kind, fun, and entertaining while teaching us some authentic Italian tricks for making pizza. There was a great variety of toppings to choose from, and our pizzas turned out delicious!

Jose C and Jose P were wonderful bartenders. They were friendly, and knowledgeable. They guided us through making a delicious cocktail that paired perfectly with our pizza.

Overall, it was such a great experience, and I would definitely love to return!

I went there for the short rib pizza but it was not on the menu The red blend wine was good. I had to send the first one back because there was lipstick on the rim . The fries was ok, it had some crispy coating on it (O prefer regular fries. I had a Margherita pizza with arugula, The arugula was extra and they assumed I did not want the basil so they did not give me any. The broccoli was good!! The beef sliders were good as well! The waitress was nice but she was everywhere and we were waiting and waiting!

My best friend an I recently visited the Commentary for the Pizza & Cocktails class. Overall, the experience was great! The staff was friendly, informative, and very accommodating. The hostess Martha was very nice, professional, and facilitated the event nicely. Our waitress Eme also very sweet, she was attentive, and made us feel comfortable at our table. Our pizza instructor Rita, is just the person for the job! She is skilled in making great pizza, and teaches very well. I walked away knowing the basics of pizza making now. For our cocktail portion, Jose was our instructor, and he was lively, energetic and got us making good drinks. Overall this was great experience, makes for a great memory, and I’ll definitely be back.

PS: My pizza looks a little different from the others, only because they also took the time to accommodate and allergy I deal with, which I know most places wouldn’t even care to ask, or adjust for, so I truly appreciate that!! Also their beef sliders are probably one of the best sliders we’ve ever had lol never had a moist and flavorful slider all in one. More reason why I will be back!

Shoutout to Rita & the gentleman who helped us make cocktails. I don’t want to misspell his name. It was an amazing time! Very interactive, very helpful. Definitely will be back again.
