I think this place is part of a chain. The other restaraunts ( I think one is in Spring Hill) are not bad. Some things to say. The clear onion super is super clear, which believe it or not, It’s not supposed to be.( google clear onion soup, it’s supposed to be a dark brown like at the other Fuji expresses) and it has also literally zero flavor and tastes like sewage tap water as well. The steak was very “gamey” and somehow super pink on the inside but hard as deer meat on the outside. Chicken and shrimp borderline over cooked too. The picture I posted of the steak is to show how it’s still being held together even after I tried to rip it apart it’s so tough. Beef jerky level.

Way better than your average hibachi spot!

At first glance, Hibachi Express might look like your typical fast-casual hibachi chain, but the quality really stands out. The chicken is fresh — none of that weird aftertaste you sometimes get elsewhere — and the veggies are cooked perfectly: crispy, juicy, and not soggy at all. The fried rice has a great texture too.

They’re also generous with portions and sauces, which I really appreciate. It feels like you’re actually getting your money’s worth.

It’s become my go-to quick meal lately — honestly, sometimes it ends up cheaper (and definitely easier) than cooking at home! So glad to have discovered this spot.

Disappointed with Lack of Care and Accountability

I visited this restaurant to get sushi for my daughter, who absolutely loves it but has specific food sensitivities. We made sure to inform the staff about what needed to be left off her roll. I also ordered a sushi roll for myself. Unfortunately, when I got home, I found that both rolls had been packaged together, and the sauce from mine had spilled onto hers—making it unsafe for her to eat.

When I called to inform the restaurant, their response was disappointing. Instead of taking responsibility, they simply told me that the best they could do was offer a discount on my next visit—because I hadn’t explicitly asked for the rolls to be packed separately. This lack of accountability is unacceptable.

Personally, I will never eat here again, and I encourage others to look elsewhere for sushi and hibachi. If you value attention to detail and good customer service, this place isn’t it.

Wow! Hibachi Japanese Express is a hidden gem. They serve high-quality and delicious food one would expect from an upscale place but at much more reasonable prices. The hibachi and kitchen run continuously which shows how fresh their food is. These folks take great pride in their food and service, which are both exceptional.

5/5 overall, 5/5 food, 5/5 service.

The only 4/5 rating is for atmosphere. Hibachi Japanese Express is a fast-casual place with some wall decorations but not a huge investment in decor. Totally understandable given their focus of fast service and great food.

We will be back next time we come this way.

Good food and the portion is great. Steak is a bit chewy could have been that it was cut not against the grain but the flavor was good. Person taking the order is really nice.

Picked up take out order and then when I got home 33 minutes later I realized they did not give me the $2.50 drink I ordered. When I arrived home I made 10 phone calls and received voicemail each time. Ate my dinner before it got colder and then called back only to be asked to drive back. When I stated that I was over 30 minutes away I was told they could not issue a refund over the phone. Such poor customer service

Got dinner tonight for us always great. But the service not so good. The girl at the front counter series seemed like she was bothered by for her job. No smile no welcome nothing I guess she is forgetting that the customer is what’s paying her. A little smile or something Goes along way !! But anyways food is always good just might wanna hire cashiers that are more happy and not bothered by doing the job

I placed an order for pickup and one of our sushi rolls was missing. I called and spoke with Anna, the store Manager. She said I had to come back in for them to replace the order or to issue refund, I opted to do the refund and when I came in, she promptly took care of the refund and offered me a free fountain soda for the troubles. Thank you for taking care of me, Anna. I’ll be back to order more!

I love this place so much, especially the cashier with curly hair! She’s always so nice and helpful, and she always greets me with a smile on her face. I think she definitely deserves a raise, lol. And the food is amazing!
