Stumbled across this gem when heading back to my hotel one evening, Had a peep through the window and felt it looked clean, fresh and inviting. After doing some online research and seeing outstanding reviews I decided to return there the following night for a meal. The waiters were very attending to your needs and will adjust menu to your needs. The food was cooked to perfection and was very tasty. Reasonable priced for a meal for two with alcohol beverages.

I recently dined at Coast & Creel Seafood Restaurant- Edinburgh’s newest and it was an exceptional experience.
We started with the Goat Cheese and Mushroom Croquettes, which were amazing. The Grilled Octopus transported us to Portugal, but the highlight was definitely the Grilled Seafood Platter with crustacean sauce—generous portions and incredibly fresh. Lobster was incredibly tasty. The platter offered great value for money, enough for both of us, and everything was super tasty.
For dessert, the cheesecake was rich and creamy, the perfect ending. The service was professional and friendly, and the cocktail and wine selection was impressive. The background music added to the relaxed atmosphere.
We left feeling satisfied and can’t wait to return! Highly recommend Coast & Creel for a top-notch seafood experience.

The Halibut is to die for!! The Dauphinoise potatoes melted in my mouth!! I highly recommend this restaurant! We thought it looked like a hole in the wall but it was fabulous and we were greatly impressed!!

Disappointed – the service was lack lustre and weak, nobody in the team taking control when two drunks walked in to ask to use the toilets neither of them had the integrity to politely refuse them and then they couldn’t get rid of them. It was unnerving and awkward as they were next to our table by the bar for about 10 minutes. For us trying to enjoy their ‘fine’ dining fish experience we felt very uncomfortable. The food was ok but for the price I’d expect it to be better, too many overly powerful flavours dwarfing the taste of the light main centrepiece. I went home and sat on the loo for 3 hours my tummy rejecting something.. we wouldn’t go again – it just didn’t cut it.

Used to love Toro Latino before it refurbished into the current form. Staff told me it’s still the same owner but Seafood-themed instead of beef.
Chicken espetada is as delicious as it used to be, goat cheese & mushroom croquettes are incredibly complex in flavor, will definitely visit again!

My partner and I recently discovered Coast & Creel, and we were pleasantly surprised by this lovely new gem! From the moment we walked in, we were warmly welcomed by the friendly staff.
We started with the mackerel pâté, which was absolutely amazing, and my partner also enjoyed the bisque. For my main course, I had the paccheri pasta with langoustines, and it was out of this world! My partner opted for the lemon sole, which she thoroughly enjoyed.
The prices were reasonable for the quality of food we received, and the cozy atmosphere made it even more special. We can’t wait to return for another wonderful meal!

My friends and I love seafood and a few of us like steaks so this menu was spot on. The restaurant was lovely, clean and staff were immediately inviting.
The food was incredible. I’m a traditionalist when it comes to sea food, ie off the grill with butter, salt and lemon. The chef has clearly added his own unique spices to the grilled seafood which I was pleasantly surprised by.
I will be recommending this place to others and look forward to going back.

We had a wonderful evening at this seafood restaurant, starting with tender, perfectly prepared octopus and finishing with a delicious lobster that truly stole the show. Every bite reflected freshness and care. What made the experience even more special was the impressive service from a young boy whose attentiveness and warm smile added a personal touch to the meal. A lovely dinner that felt both comforting and memorable—definitely a place worth returning to.
