Everyone loved their food, no complaints on lack of protein, and mine (gingery) was gingery as hoped. Some other places I’ve had little ginger flavor but this was really good.
Told garlic was nice and “there”, basil perfect.
Kee Mao I was told great, it too had chicken.
I’d highly recommend Talay Thai, service very attentive and polite, everyone was sincere in asking our opinions.
3 in our group had mango and sticky rice which while basic, was told very good too, several have eaten at numerous Thai restaurants and one visited Thailand.
Kyle (another reviewer from tonight) noted disappointment, I’d really suspect a call would readily fix things given my opposite experience and how the staff treated us.
Two images are my Gingery chicken (ate some prior to pic) and the See Ew chicken
We also had the Chu Chu salmon (pictured), which is beautiful, fried, flaky, and has an amazing sauce.
This is a small mom and pop place with good food, but isn’t fine dining, so don’t come here and then remove a star because of the small dining area. That’s a you problem, not a them problem.
Wonderful!
Beef in dishes seems to typically be dry – I wish it wasn’t because their Pad See Ew would be way better. However, other than that – this place is unbelievable and I highly recommend it!
We were a party of seven and the waitress served the wrong entree to one of the guests who was unfamiliar with Thai food.. There was such a long wait between the 1st & last meal served, the rest of us decided to eat. A full 20 minutes after the first meal was served, they finally brought the 7th meal! ALL MEALS SHOULD COME OUT AROUND THE SAME TIME! And worse, that’s when we realized that the last meal should have been served to another guest and the last person’s meal had already been partially consumed since it was given to the wrong person. The waitress should keep track of who ordered what and where they sit! We requested that the correct meal be served to the person still waiting for his meal, which they did. However, despite it being the waitress’s fault that the one person was given the wrong meal, they left the other meal & charged us for 8 meals. The cream cheese crab appetizer was chewy, not crispy, filling was grainy and doubt it had any crab in it. The soup came in a very large bowl but was 90% broth! Finally, two of us ordered the same meal with a spice level 2, which is mild. We each agreed that one was quite hot (definitely a 3, medium) the other one had absolutely no spice (which is a 1)! This is all inexcusable and for a cost over $200! We didn’t want to cause a scene, so we paid for this mediocre meal including the 8th entree. What a waste of money. Recommend not to waste your time or money here.
