Ok so my problem isn’t the food, the food is always really good that I get. The problem is the service or lack there of…I curbside everytime I order here, and I always arrive and park right in front of the door. I’m having some ankle issues going on so If curbside is offered I do it. But everytime I order from here and pull up…they never bring me my food. I’ll generally give them 10 mins to bring it to me just incase they are busy, short handed, or whatever…I work in food service, so I understand things get busy. Anyway I always have to call and remind them, they usually act like they didn’t know they had a curbside, then someone that acts like I’m making them do something they don’t like, brings me my food. I know not to expect a I’m sorry or even a have a good day. Ya’ll just need to be more aware of ur curbside orders and watch for those customers to arrive. If Ya’ll just fixed that, I would give 5 stars everytime.

This place reminds me of a place my Dad used to take me for Barbecue… It’s small, cozy and a Texas icon… It has been a staple for Texas Barbecue for over 50 years and still going strong… I can’t express enough how good of a job they do for catering events also… Big or small, from family get togethers to corporate functions they provide it all… Drinks, deserts, cups, plates, tongs, serving spoons, ice (the good small crunchable kind), sides and of course barbecue brisket, smoked chicken, ribs, pulled pork, smoked turkey and sausage… All made fresh daily on premises so be sure to let everybody know that Dickies Barbecue can handle all your catering needs… Dickies makes good hot fresh food easily accessible… Thank y’all for being there for me when I am craving that smokey meat flavor I grew up with…

I love the food here and normally the people working here, However today I came in and I saw an older lady who I guess works there she came in and started yelling and cursing at the employees who were currently working. They seemed to be doing their job but she seemed strung out or something but yelling at the older boy seemed to be in his teens for random things. She hadn’t been there but 2 mins and started yelling at this poor kid. I turned around and walked out. That’s not how an employee needs to be treated. Come to find out she’s a manager that’s not good. She looked like she was on something and mad at the world and taking it out on them. I have been here before and have seen these two other employees. Both boys are very nice. I don’t know what her deal was. But something needs to change. She is not manager material.

Pulled pork sandwiches were pulled from box previously made with cold meat. The only thing that heated the sandwiches up was pouring the warm bbq sauce on them.

We ordered on Door Dash, and the dasher did a great job dealing with everything. I ordered a trail boss sandwich, and my husband ordered a different sandwich with a chicken patty and pulled pork. The dasher calls to inform us that they are out of chicken patties and the chicken fried steak patty. Ok. So he swapped to a pulled pork sandwich and I switched to a baked potato with shredded brisket.
We also ordered a corn muffin and two rolls. They were also out of those. We were offered toast instead. We never received the toast. So we paid extra for those items that we never received.
The sandwiches we did actually receive are very small for being $11 a piece. Also, my “baked potato” turned out just to be a pile of mashed potatoes with some toppings on it. What is going on over there? Are ya’ll ok? Because I am not. Waste of money, honestly…
Lesson learned. Will not be back.
