Opened in 1989, Ho Wah Sterling Heights has been constantly improving their variety of dishes. They are a family-owned and family-operated restaurant, with a main chef who has over twenty years of experience. Appetizers such as the potsticker and soups like the wonton soup are all homemade. Ho Wah tries to accommodate everyone’s tastes with entrees that range from sweet and sour to hot and spicy.
Even though carry-out orders are usually completed within ten minutes, Ho Wah still prepares its dishes the traditional way. Dishes are prepared and cooked whenever they are ordered, and they place emphasis on the freshness of their foods. This restaurant does not use any frozen vegetables, and all sauces are made fresh with each dish.
Roomy, easygoing environment for stir fries, lo mein, egg foo yong & other Chinese classics.

Nothing wrong with this American Chinese takeout restaurant. Food is reasonably priced, better than average takeout quality. served in generous portions and the service is prompt. The only watch out is that despite the space ahd the external architecture, this is now essentially only a place for takeout.

Best food in the area. Egg rolls are always crsip and deliscious. Almond boneless is very good and reheat well. The dinner rols are made with something special. Only negative is that they are no longer set up for dine in. Staff is great!

We have ordered from here quite a few times! Everything that we have tried so far is delicious! They are one of the few places you can sub lo mein for rice in a combo dinner. The General Tso is always great! My kids love the sweet and sour chicken and orange chicken. We recently tried the Hong Shui Gai and Moo Shui – both were great. I was a little bummed they served it with tortillas instead of the spring pancakes but it was still delicious! Hot mustard sauce is also a big hit in our house and has a the perfect level of spice!

Excellent! Food was amazing. Best crab Rangoon I’ve had so far. Not over cooked, puffy and plenty of filling. The pork, chicken and shrimp fried rice had plenty of meat! I was overwhelmed with the amount of shrimp and large pieces of chicken. Almond chicken tender. Egg roll was like how Chinese places use to make them. Melted in your mouth and the flavor was excellent. Overall a lot of food! Will be back to try more.

Service has always been spot on. Never received an incorrect order.
FYI, THEY ONLY HAVE TAKE OUT, but that’s fine with me. Definitely recommend!!

Oh wow! Wow! I’m so speechless. I seen this on Google with a good review so I figured I’d try it out. They had something called Garlic Fried Chicken which I never tried but had interest in trying, ordered a Chicken and Broccoli as a backup in case I didn’t like it. I arrived 5 minutes early and my food was ready. Staff was very sweet and polite. My food was nice and hot when I got home. I took a few pictures for Google then dug my fork in….and wow. The chicken was breaded to perfection, there was a generous amount of savory sauce, the egg roll was by far one of the best I’ve had. Everything about this meal was just exquisite. I don’t know what culinary school their chef went to but they deserve to be up there with Oxford.

At work and Co worker says let try somewhere new. Well I will not be ordering here again.
I got the hot N spicy chicken curry.
Not spicy at all. Most disappointing part is they put my egg roll, sauce cup, & soy sauce in the food. Buried under everything. Now if a child was eating this they could’ve choked.
My egg roll was all soggy and disgusting.

Been coming here for over 20 years, somehow the food gets better every time. Prices are amazing, they give plenty of food for any dish you order.
