The new Star Restaurant is an interesting mix of new and some of the old favorites. The restaurant has been updated and lots of staff to make sure all is going well. They are still getting up to speed, but we got our food fast and it was great. Lots of attention to detail. We went with the new offerings and glad I did. We will be back. Posted some photos of the dinner menus. Think they have different menus for different times of the day. Give them a try, you will love the food.
I hope they might dim some of the lights. Was really bright in the back room.

Great breakfast with my honey! So cool to have a Honduran breakfast including black bean soup and platanos, while my husband ordered a traditional eggs/hashbrowns combo. Nice staff, fun Western decor. Love all the window booth seats. We’ll be back!

Just a weird place…unless you’re a collector of cowboy kitsch home decor. Food is super mediocre, service is pretty disorganized and I can’t figure out what the place wants to be. Someone put a bunch of money into dressing up a diner but it’s pretty much a diner…without a counter. Not a particularly good one.

Got the chicken pesto pasta with Caesar salad. Portions are big, so come hungry. Service was friendly.

I so want to like this place. However, the last change in ownership has left me disenchanted. I miss the previous menu, I want the French dip sandwich back. I can’t stand the reusable polyester nonabsorbent napkins. They are awful and just spread the hamburger grease around your hands. The service is good, the food is okay (scrambled eggs should never be browned), and I want to support a local establishment, but I don’t see myself returning after two tries.

Southern dinner was great! Lots of food for a good price and exactly what you want for diner food. My friend got the shrimp alfredo and she loved it. Will be trying the Guatemalan food next time for sure!
I feel like this place got a bad rep from reopening under new ownership and it makes me sad that the parking lot is always empty. It was a little pricey with drinks, but without them not bad at all!! Good ambience as well!

Why can’t any “cooks” make eggs over easy. Over easy eggs dont crunch when you stick your fork in them.
