Tin Pan Alley tavern highly recommended for you’re the most awesome social experience. Tin Pan Alley has exactly what you need, an environment of awesome real energy , coupled with Creative Management and an awesome team of Hospitality undertakers, all heading there stations at the Bar and the Grill. Wether u choose the inside environment for the outside on Deck environment you will find your visit highly gratifying. Tin Pan Alley offers you a spot where you can enjoy sports and such on extremely large flatscreens, different social events such as vendors offering you a chance to experience their new product and all the while experiencing what I consider to be the best cook in town, the food is really awesome and makes the place happen. Stay tuned for more current information

The food was phenomenal, I ordered brisket fries and a brisket cheesesteak. It was definitely small inside with not a lot of tables so you’re pretty much going to be at the bar for the most part. However, the food was great and I look forward to trying other items from their BBQ menu.

Nice spot for a quick tasty dinner and a drink. Food menu always has great variety but the brisket is fire. Fries, sandwich, whatever floats your boat. Some of the bartenders are very experienced as if they worked in Center City while other staff are just learning the basics. I like the jukebox and darts. It’s fairly clean in here and the energy is comfortable. It’s generally a middle aged to slightly older crowd. Our bartenders are always very accommodating and respectful. Sometimes my finance will just get dinner with a Shirley Temple and they serve it professionally in a glass with a cherry on top. Thanks!

Small local spot with a cozy, laid-back vibe. The food was really good and clearly made with care. The parking lot is small, but the friendly employees and welcoming atmosphere more than make up for it. A great neighborhood place worth checking out.

I was extremely excited to eat here and oh boy was I disappointed. We ordered the smoked wings and they super dry, brisket fries were ok nothing special, brisket cheeses steak was ok as well the sauce tasted weird cant even describe it and the burger was absolutely flavorless (not sure how one can screw up a burger) the only positive thing is that our waitress was nice. I will definitely not going to be coming back.

Inside it was dark, and nearly all the seating was at the bar. “There are tables outside, and the tables at the side are covered.”
This was true. The outside tables at the side are well protected, and there’s plenty of room there. But we came not for the tables but for the barbecue. It was excellent.

We started with the Brisket Fiesta Potatoes, just to have something to start with. My wife exclaimed, “If I had known how good this was, I would have ordered this for my meal!” They were really delicious. I think they’re available on a weekly rotation or so, so we’re going to check to see if they’re available before we come again.
We each ordered the sampler, with different sides: : my onion rings were spectacular, the beans very good. Of the meats in the sampler, the brisket was wonderful, the pulled pork very very good, the ribs were not the baby back ribs I’m used to, but Saint Louis style, very meaty, though also fatty. Of the smoked chicken wings? Well I have two of the three left, maybe for lunch today, but they disappointed us a little bit.

The beer selection was very good, the popular standards as well as a large number of craft brews. In slightly warmer weather, there would have been nothing bad about that night, except it may be we didn’t need the appetizer once we saw how much was on the samplers.

We’re looking forward to going again, and again. And my friends want to go too, now.

Great local spot to hangout and watch Philly Sports games. Food is excellent here, especially the BBQ out of the smoker, wing dings, brisket fries, and cheesesteak. The staff is very friendly here. Bartender/ Server Amy makes great cocktails and Green tea shots; provides great service every time. Highly recommend this place and would be back again!

I’ve seen the smoker going often on my way past this place so I finally decided to try it out.

So would I go back? ……. (Sorry gotta read entire review)

So why 3 stars? Well for one it’s odd for a bar that has beers on tap to not offer tastings, it’s always par for the course whether you’re a brewery, bar or pub. Like I get it people shouldn’t abuse it but this is how customers try new things. And If someone doesn’t like a beer they make take their time drinking it which means less sales. I know I normally have a beer or 2 with my meal but without being able to try one I chose not to get anything and we went somewhere after.

The shrimp basket wasn’t the sexiest looking nor great. It was adequate at best not something amazing.

Now on to why you’d come here, the BBQ.

The pork in my opinion was probably not freshly made today and had a lot of liquid to it . The chicken wings were overcooked, the onion rings were okay but weren’t great. The ribs were good but I wouldn’t be coming back for them as they were a bit overcooked, not a lot but a bit.

The best part of the visit was brisket, it tasted like it was made today had a great taste to it and the only reason I’d consider going back would be for the brisket. It was a lean cut and not fatty which is my personal preference.

The food was modestly priced and a good value, but would be an amazing value if it weren’t for what I mentioned.

I personally wouldn’t go back, I like to try new beers but also don’t wanna order a whole beer if it’s gonna be awful which doesn’t take much to figure that out. I’ve found some amazing beers I would have never bought if I didn’t try it first. While the brisket was really good, the rest of the food was just meh and as such I’d rather try somewhere else.

Bar/Grille at the bottom of the hill to Bryn Athyn, Tin Pan Alley operates out of a quaint old building and makes the very best of it. Different spins on traditional bar grub keeps the menu interesting, not to mention they smoke meat and BBQ. Tons of beers on tap. Good combination for a local favorite.
