Few places in MoCo remind me of the food in the Midwest. One of us ordered the most legit Chicken Fried Steak and eggs I have seen this side of the Mississippi. Next time it will be me ordering that … a bite was shared and now I am wondering how soon we can return. My Reuben was also amazing and the onion rings were just adding to my nostalgia. Service was very pleasant. Had I noticed sooner they had a Flying Dog option, would have had a beer. The menu is huge and we look forward to next time.

Walking in I was greeted right away. I was asked if I was going to dine in or takeout. I said dine in and was handed a menu and was told I can pick any seat.

The waitress came over and took my order. Breakfast Burrito, Blueberry Pancakes and Coffee! She asked what I wanted with the Pancakes. She mention potatoes, tomato’s. I opt’ed for the tomatoes since it was already going to be a good amount of food. I did ask if I could get a spicy mayo with the burrito. Sadly she said no. It comes with a salsa.

Coffee was good hot and fresh. Food came out. Everything was hot and yummy. The burrito had a classic omelette flavor. The salsa didn’t really add much to it. Sour cream was also served with it. I doubt I would get it again. I would just get a omelette. The pancakes were loaded with blueberries. Phenomenal!

Service was great! The waitress refilled my coffee 3 times. The aesthetics, it feels like the deli could use an update. You can tell it’s an older place. Still clean and all the plates, silverware, glasses were clean. Some people might be put off by how the deli looks inside.

Overall very good experience!

They have a huge menu & anything you can think of to eat but they are superrrrr expensive. For example, for the French toast they don’t sell it as a platter with eggs & such it’s all separate so the bill adds up very quickly since it’s charged as a bunch of side orders. The atmosphere is nice but this place can use a deep, deep cleaning. The walls are dirty & the rest of the place could be cleaner. Overall good food & nice staff though.

ZERO STARS.

My daughter & I went into Woodside Deli on Middlebrook in Germantown, MD on January 19, 2026, MLK Day. There were ONLY four (4) customers in there & 2 were at the same table. In addition, we saw three (3) employees. A male at the front, a female server sitting down texting maybe she was on a break.. And a second female employee who came to our table to greet us. She left our table stating, “I’ll be back.” So we were sitting at the table talking & waiting for the server to return to our table. Minute by minute by minute… Twenty (20) minutes. We put on our coats & stood up to leave. As I stood up & looked around for our missing server, we saw her in the back texting & began to walk towards the dining area where the tables & chairs are. We get to the front to walk out the door & the male employee was texting. The other female employee was still sitting & texting.. maybe still on her break. Well, we went to Mission BBQ! Superb staff, superb customer service, & superb food.

My fiancé and I really loved this location from the service to the homey feel and delicious food. We got everything fresh and even the baked items were just delivered today freshly made. We got a wide range of items from pancakes to waffles and a sandwich. I got sides of corned beef hash and bacon. I will continue to come here and put more people onto this hidden gem.

Have lived near by for a little while, took business colleagues for breakfast. But today was the first time trying the lunch menu. Their sandwiches and breakfast are incredible. I’m originally from New England where the best restaurants aren’t the chain restaurants. So this place is so nice to have nearby! Absolutely our new favorite

First off, the floors were unbelievably sticky. Every step felt like my shoes were peeling off the ground, and it honestly made the whole place feel unclean and poorly maintained. On top of that, the booths were so torn and worn down that it looked like they hadn’t been replaced since 1985. The cushions were cracked, the seats were sinking in, and it just gave the impression that no effort has been made to update or take care of the space in years.

Second, we were told by the host that our party of three could sit anywhere we liked. So we picked a table and got comfortable, only for the waitress to come over and tell us, “Sorry, that’s only for parties of 8.” That was frustrating and confusing. If certain tables are reserved for large groups, that should have been communicated clearly from the start. And realistically, at 9 o’clock in the morning, it’s highly unlikely that a party of eight is going to suddenly walk in. It just felt unnecessary and unwelcoming.

Third, the prices were completely unreasonable for what we received. Two waffles came out to $23. For that amount of money, I could easily buy waffle or pancake mix at the grocery store and make breakfast at home for days. There was nothing special or premium about the waffles to justify that kind of cost—no unique toppings, no large portions, nothing memorable. It just didn’t match the value.

Lastly, we were told by the owner that they no longer offer honey because it’s “too expensive” to purchase. As a result, a simple teabag and some hot water ended up costing $3.50. If honey is truly too expensive to provide complimentary, the obvious solution would be to offer affordable single-serve honey packets and charge a small additional fee (for example, 50 cents) for customers who want it. That way, customers still have the option, and the business can cover the cost without completely removing such a basic and expected item

Classic diner breakfast spot! The fluffy blueberry pancake was perfection. Ask for your home fries crispy and you’ll be thoroughly impressed! The service was great and the prices were very reasonable. We will definitely be back!

Their sandwiches are the best. However, today I ordered a take out. There was barely any steak in it. It costs $16. Come on please.

Have to check out the onion rings!!!

We dine at the Deli for over 20 years. What makes it such a treat is the willingness to deliver a quality comfort meal. The entire staff are always friendly and interested to make sure the meal meets your expectations and have breakfast lunch or dinner any time. They still hold standards of quality for many meals like subs burgers and on and on. Thank you Deli!
