Waitress, older lady with bangs and glasses was rude and won’t answer questions, responded with just read the menu. Brisket was good on flavor but very very tough. Mac salad had zero flavor, not bad flavor just absolutely zero flavor I am not sure how someone accomplishes that. Hush puppies were lack luster, not much flavor but slightly some flavor although it was just a light corn flavor.

The place is clean and the wait staff is friendly. The service, in my opinion, is better than most establishments.
The brisket, however, is awful. It’s not even close to being good. It’s tough, sliced super thin (because it’s tough) and it’s pooled in sauce. The sauce taste like Sweet Baby Rays. This place should not even be allowed to serve brisket as they clearly have no idea how to cook brisket. It’s bad.
The chopped pork was an honest try. The chopped pork is not bad. They won’t be winning any pork barbecue competitions or anything, but it’s not bad.
Their Mac-n-cheese is pretty good. As are their hush puppies.

My son & I been there 3 times. Great bbq & the best onion rings! The only problem is, it’s not a affordable place for lunch. $36 for 2 at lunch time is high for us.

Our 1st time trying this place. The service was on point. The hamburger steak was juicy and delicious and the pintos beans were ok could use lot more onions but they’re real pintos no can. My chicken tenders were ok but dig the fries her hush puppies were so so and the red slaw was good but alittle sweet. The iced teas were very on point. All in all wasn’t a bad place for our 1st time. If we come back I try something different.

I had the chopped BBQ platter and apple cobbler. The BBQ is tasty and was complimented by the sweet sauce (sweet or spicy available, served on the side). Apple cobbler was good too. I had the brown beans and mac n cheese as sides which were tasty. I enjoyed the food here, it gave me different choices than Georgia BBQ spots.

Great people here. Forgot my card when trying to pay for a pickup order (was finally able to pay after adding card to phone) and the server said “don’t worry about it, we’ll get you next time honey”. Great food, easy on the wallet, good local spot for lunch, worth a stop for sure!

So I’ve been going here since pecks was in Waynesboro. Since opening as highway hog portion sizes have gone down. I order a platter and a sweet every time. The first platter as hwy hog I got a 6oz container half way full of BBQ it didn’t even fill 2 buns and never got both of my sides. This second time the BBQ portion is slightly bigger but a 2oz ramekin of slaw that only covered one bun, for 17 dollars I expected more.
