The food was great! Great service by Samaria!
My husband ordered the land and sea(he chose crab cakes)
I ordered the cauliflower on gouda mashed potatoes plus 2 crab cakes and veggies. I also had the blackberry mojito.
For dessert we had the creme brulee & the bananas foster.
All very good & actually the best sides veggies I’ve ever had! Nice & garlic-y
Presentation was beautifully done.

Wonderful experience! Ieisha was an excellent server, took great care of us and had excellent recommendations! The entire staff here was so friendly from the moment we walked in. The mussels were the best mussels we’ve ever had in our lives, the tuna poke was delicious and the pineapple bacon infused old fashion is also a must. If you still have room get the dessert sampler too! We will definitely be back!

We chose Aqua Restaurant for our anniversary dinner, guided by the kind of recommendations that matter most: a local in the know and a friend who never tires of Beaufort. Aqua announces itself quietly, and even our brief misstep on arrival felt intentional an elegant sign gently redirecting us around back, where we later realized there’s a convenient entrance directly across from the parking lot. A small discovery we tucked away for our next visit.

From the moment we stepped inside, the hospitality set the tone. The host greeted us with genuine enthusiasm and an ease that made it clear he knew exactly why we were there. His warmth felt celebratory without being performative, just right. We were led to our table and introduced to Iesha, whose presence defined the evening.

Iesha guided us through the menu with confidence and care, highlighting a thoughtful anniversary tradition: a complimentary glass of champagne or crème brûlée. We happily chose both. She struck that elusive balance of attentiveness and restraint present when needed, graciously invisible when not allowing the evening to unfold at its own pace.

Our table sampled a range of the menu. The rare curry-seared local tuna arrived with curry riced cauliflower and traditional accompaniments unexpected in flavor but satisfying nonetheless. The The special for that evening, was rich and comforting. Even the simplest order, the kids’ shrimp and fries was met with enthusiasm from our youngest diner, always a good sign.

Aqua delivers food that is thoughtful, distinctive, and well-suited for a celebration. It’s the kind of place that feels special without trying too hard a reliable choice for marking a meaningful moment. And when you go, do yourself a favor and ask for Iesha. She’s the kind of server who turns a good dinner into a memorable one.

Aqua is the perfect restaurant to dine in for special occasions and date night. The food, drinks, and service are all excellent. I would like to give James a big shout out for exceptional service. We celebrated my husband’s birthday and the staff hand signed his birthday card. That was a thoughtful gesture. Everything was delicious. I highly recommend the banana bread old fashioned, pear salad, and steak and salad. The bananas fosters is always a fun dessert. It is served table side.

Aqua is hands-down my favorite fine dining spot in Beaufort. The food is always exceptional, the service is top-tier, and the atmosphere is warm, clean, and welcoming. They accommodate my gluten allergy without hesitation. It’s consistently a great experience every time we visit!

both classic and creative dishes prepared well with fresh local ingredients.

the egg roll was awesome. stuffed with eastern NC bbq and kimchi, then deep fried. perfect balance of flavors.

Shrimp and grits made perfectly. creamy grits seasoned with salty ham, topped with large shrimp. although it’s an entree this makes a great appetizer to share.

both small plates and big plates are individual entrees.

Sea and Share is good. the filet was a little more charred on the outside than i like. the semi glaze went well with the Grouper.

the dining room is small and has both indoor and covered porch seating. I’m not a fan of the booths, so you may want to request a table.

free parking with validation on the parking app.

$9+ charge for using credit card.

fantastic service. staff is personable, did a great job explaining the menu, and provided good recommendations.

5 stars but it’s pricey so recommended for special occasions. Local but this is my first time coming to Aqua. Menu on website is not up to date. Interior had low lighting and upscale ambiance. Don’t recommend parties larger than 6 due to space. Friend’s wife was gifted a gift card, so they offer that.

Free bread – soft, warm, and perfect for soaking the olive oil/balsamic dip; not crusty.
Quinoa salad bite – complement; light and no strong opinions.
Saffron poached pear – liked the poached pear texture; not much, if any, saffron flavor; main green was spinach and the vinaigrette was sweet; love sweets and no problem cleaning my plate, but I almost feel like they should move this to the dessert section.
Duck confit – delicious; great crust on the duck leg and gratin; meat easily separated from bone.
Dessert sampler – mini banana foster, chocolate mousse, and creme brulee; they were all good; banana foster had a show; i like chocolate and a bit more texture variety, so I recommend the mousse.

One of the more fine dining places in Beaufort, North Carolina. You’re going to need reservations to get in. We happen to go during a cold night and were able to sit outside on the patio with the heaters and bypass the craziness of inside.

I would highly recommend this restaurant. They’ve got a really good drink menu and I highly recommend the 47 Ronin. I went with the noodle bowl and a combination of shrimp and scallops and it was excellent. Don’t forget the dessert trio too. The banana’s foster is to die for and they make it table side.
