I have become a regular at Bart’s Beer Garden Drive-In restaurant (breakfast, too!) because their food is consistently prepared/grilled with high-quality ingredients.

I’m a huge fan of their hot dogs, egg sandwiches and amazing cheeseburgers. I had my cheeseburger made into a salad the other day and it was REALLY tasty!
I’d order it again!

Have you tried the fried pickles?

Do yourself a favor and stop in one morning and order a double cheese/egg sandwich on the softest roll imaginable! This, coupled with a coffee makes a perfect breakfast to hold you throughout the day.

I’m also impressed by the wide variety of cool entertainment offered during the week. This is NOT just a summer spot! It’s an all year ‘round family restaurant where you can build memories, enjoy custom-made food and make new friends!

This place is amazing! ❤️

Barts continues to follow through on quality, flavor and options- I just ate their regular cheeseburger and it was perfect- loaded. I just added their signature famous spicy relish. It’s the perfect burger. The fries were perfectly seasoned and crispy. Every meal I have had here has made me extremely happy- Thank you Barts crew- keep it up.

We recently visited Bart’s in Windsor after hearing great things, and we decided to try a few popular items, including the cheeseburger and the lobster roll from the Lobster Tales Truck. I opted for a single-patty cheeseburger, fully loaded with toppings, and it was absolutely delicious. My husband ordered the French dip, which he found was good but not quite what he expected—he probably wouldn’t order it again. The French fries were perfectly crispy, though the onion rings were a bit too greasy, likely due to old fryer oil.

We chose to sit outside at the picnic tables, which were thoughtfully arranged, with some shaded by trees—a lovely spot to enjoy our meal. It was evident that Bart’s is a local favorite, especially in the mornings when they do brisk business with coffee and pastries. They’ve also transformed the old grocery store section into a cozy indoor seating area, which was nicely done. Windsor Center itself is charming, with a rich history that adds to the overall experience.

Um OMG! This place is the HIDDEN GEM of hot dogs in CT. Take it from someone who is a dog head. I have had all of the iconic hot dogs in Connecticut and this ranks right up at the top! I can’t wait to come back and try other things if I can resist ordering another perfect hotdog everything from the sausage to the griddle bun and fresh toppings to the selection of beers and friendly staff and management. I’m only upset that I just found this place. Get in here!

I stopped by after walking the Windsor City River Trail. I was drawn in by the smell of a lobster truck and the families and friend groups eating at picnic tables looking over the river at fishermen and small boats. I ordered the truffle burger which was a double patty on a grilled bun cooked fresh right in front of me. I ordered tater tots and got a huge pile of them enough for a family to share. Chatting with the owner, Jennifer, it is clear how much energy and love they have put into this business, not only in the menu but in the recent renovations. They have clean bathrooms and ample parking. I enjoyed a perfect night looking over the river, and hope to visit again, but with my family next time. Worth the stop.

Not a fan. Beer garden is a joke, not many good beers. The food may be okay? but prices are ridiculous. Sorry to say but the people who work there are not very friendly. My daughter had asked if they could make a substitution on a meal…the girl said ” no, it’s what it says on the menu ” WOW!!! DEFINITELY will not be back, friends agreed!!!!

What an awesome place. Has that shoreline seafood and hotdog stand vibe without having to go to the shore. Then a coffee bar and beer garden is on the otherside in a cozy seating area. Outdoor seating available as well with the Lobster Tales food truck serving lobster rolls. Family friendly as well as the kid options are plentiful, grilled cheese, hot dogs, hamburgers, fries, etc.

Its so unfortunate that I have to put a low score on as a review. I am a first time guest and I made the staff know that. I didn’t get no help or recommendations. I placed an order for the Baja burger no tomatoes and old bay fries and I get the Baja burger with tomatoes and I get regular fries instead of old bay fries. Having a look at the place I had super high hopes I was even talking to someone on the phone about this establishment and boy was I let go because of every one’s care more for the talking and walking around then to make the food I paid for right. I actually lost money on this because old bay fries are more then regular. There was no interaction with staff and customers just loudness from their conversations. Unfortunately I wouldn’t recommend a place that doesn’t hit all the marks on service. Look at my history on reviews if you did great I will give you a glowing review and recommendation. But it feels like this place got to comfortable and have been slacking on service excellence.

I have been visiting Barts for over 30 years, and thankfully it’s back to being as good as it was many many years ago. The new owners have done a fabulous job keeping the old school origional charm on the grill side, and bringing in a nice “modern” atmosphere in the dining area.

The food was excellent and was exactly what I was hoping it would be. I have to say, the hot dog was spot on. Cooked well, dressed well, with a nice light toast on the bun. No over complication as seems to be the norm with most places now a days. They also do have a wide selection on the menu. Reasonably priced, quick and friendly service. Keep up the great work. I look forward to many return visits.

Our burgers were pretty good. Unfortunately when ordering I had said one plain with nothing but the burger and cheese, it came with lettuce and mayo on it. He hates mayo. I ordered mine with mayo on side and again it was in the burger. Wouldn’t stop me from coming back but attention to detail is key in that business. Everyone makes mistakes. I understand. Everyone was very nice.
