Simple menu. Burgers, Sliders, Chicken, and Kids’ menu. Also, their shakes are excellent. Get the Frix as your fry choice, it is all their fries together. The staff is super friendly and efficient. The dining area was well-kept and clean. This was our first time there and it will not be our last.

The bright yellow arrow-like chevrons caught my eye passing by, so we had to stop in. The outside looks almost like a bank teller drive through, with the double drive through overhangs on both ends of the building. Walking to the entrance, you see they have a nice covered patio eating area with heaters. Entering, the inside is smallish, but new looking contemporary. Service was fast and friendly. I ordered a double cheeseburger combo–burger, fries, drink–and it ended up being like $13 and change, so the price I thought was reasonable. I got the burger “Detour Style”, which upon asking what that meant, it simple means they put on the Detour Sauce. When I asked what that was, basically it’s Thousand Island dressing. The food itself was pretty good. Not blow you away good, but a solid 7/10. While the burger was tasty, I did regret getting a double cheeseburger instead of a single because it was a heavy burger, and it sat with me the rest of the day. The fries are a mixture of waffle, regular, and crinkle fries, which I thought was neat. They were golden and crispy, if not slightly greasy. Like I said, the bigger was heavy, so I didn’t eat much of my fries. Overall, recommend– it’s worth a stop in to try out.

Got the double cheeseburger and crinkled fries to go (pic attached). Their special sauce is a tamed version of thousand island pretty much fyi, worth getting a side. The burger was good, I found it refreshing compared to local places like Culver’s or Bronco’s and not wanting to go to one of the major chains. I recommend giving a shot yourself.

Dan is the man! This was our first experience at Burger Detour, and it was very favorable. Dan greeted me and my daughters maybe BEFORE we were even in the door. He coached us through the process enthusiastically and took very good care of us throughout our brief visit. The food came our fast and fresh, and I must day, I am liking the whole Frix thing with the fries — very cool! I realize the name is BURGER Detour, but we ended up trying chicken sandwiches and corn dogs which got rave reviews, so I guess we will do burgers when we come back. See you then Dan-O!

Great place!!
Burger is tops compared to other burger joints around. I loved it, it’s thick, the flavor is awesome. The fries has 3 types and ample amounts.
Definitely a place you need to try. I’ll make this one of my favorites.

Today we decided it was time to finally try Burger Detour. When we got the bag home, we were pleasantly surprised to see the portions are much larger than your typical drive-through joint. The kids meal comes with 2 cheeseburger sliders that are each around the volume of regular fast food burgers. The portion of fries (frix, with shoestring, crinkle, AND waffle mixed together) was also enormous for a kids meal. The single cheeseburger meal was also large and the fries (large frix) more than enough. You and your kids will definitely not be left wanting, which is a nice change when you’re feeding pre-teens or teenagers! It’s a little too pricey to eat here terribly often, but it’s not so bad as to never come back. I would like to return and next time try a shake!

I love cheeseburgers and trying new restaurants, so I made my husband come with me even though it’s a bit of a drive from La Vista. But it was worth it! Our cheeseburgers and fries (waffle for hubs and crinkle cut for me) we’re delicious!

I eat at this place at least a coupe times a week. Burgers are quality and the Fries are always made fresh without having to ask. I get a full meal for $11.50 which I think is a great price. Ignore the negative ratings and eat out with confidence.

You can see the bright yellow and black sign a mile away and it definitely attracts you. Inside was pretty small with a few tables and a long bench type seating area with plenty of outside seating available and tv’s outside as well. They have a nice variety of fries in either crinkle cut, waffle, or shoestring and you can get a mix of all three. The burgers are your run of the mill frozen patties and they can definitely use more seasoning as they are somewhat bland. The chicken sandwich was OK, kind of dry due to the breast being very thin. I didn’t care for the flavor of their Detour sauce which I would compare to Big Mac suace but with a very different taste. The chicken bites however are big chunks of white meat chicken and seasoned very well along with the delicious ranch. The shakes were awesome as well, probably the best item there. Overall nothing special, just a new restaurant with a big gimmicky sign to draw you in. I probably wouldn’t suggest someone to go but also wouldn’t tell them to avoid it. Hard to compete in the burger game with Runza, Don and Millies, Culvers, and Freddy’s just down the road where you can get a much better burger at any one of them.

Good fast food burger experience. I had the double cheeseburger combo with frix. My friend said the chocolate malt was the best part of the meal! Limited seating inside. Has an outside seating area when it is nice out.
