Had the best birria of my life here a couple of weeks ago and haven’t stopped thinking about it since. If I lived in Rochester, I’d go bankrupt visiting this place every day! Every bite was incredible.

They start you off with chips and salsa. The chips came out still warm and absolutely perfect. Do yourself a favor and ask for a side of queso when you (inevitably) get your second basket of chips. The salsa was good but the queso was perfection.

I ordered the birria mulitas and my girlfriend got the birria tacos. Both were absolutely delicious. We had already enjoyed way too many chips, but the meals were so good that we couldn’t help but eat them all, no matter how full we felt! The mulitas are technically a little more food and a dollar cheaper, so I would recommend going with that if you’re torn. I’m not personally much of a fan of refried beans, but I even enjoyed those with their rice and the cheese melted on top. The consome was a little spicy for my wimpy Swedish palate, but it definitely wasn’t uncomfortable or intolerable and the spice didn’t linger.

Somehow we found the room to split a fried ice cream at the end of the meal. It was so yummy, but it did slide around the plate a lot which made it tricky to eat. Might be easier if they put it in a bowl.

The restaurant itself is really beautifully decorated. The staff were all very kind and service was excellent. We were seated immediately when we walked in and never had to wait for refills. The food took a little longer than expected to be cooked, but it’s worth it for how great everything was. I can’t wait to go back!!

The atmosphere is unique, and the food was great. Definitely not like the other so called authentic Mexican restaurants. The chips were homemade, and the salsa not hot, you need to ask for the spice.

This is a must stop. The food and environment comes with the authentic taste and energy that only Eddie can provide. The entire staff was helpful and friendly. 100% will be coming back. Birria tacos are unbelievable and tonight I ordered the birria burrito that is insanely good.

I have been wanting to try this place for awhile so my daughter and I stopped there for lunch. We were greeted and seated right away. The service was great. Im not sure if it was the manager or who, but he would walk around and ask how everything is going. Great hospitality. We had the street tacos and they were great. I highly recommend you to try this place.

Mexican food with an authentic flare.

If you love Mexican food, great service, and even better vibes, stop by Eddie’s.

If you’re lucky, you might even meet him.

Food is prepared perfectly, chips are in point, service is second to none.

You might want to call ahead to make sure they’re not super busy, but I’m sure they can handle the crowds.

They tried to overcharge me twice in a row, both times using dinner prices even though I ordered around noon, while pointing at the menu’s lunch page too. First time, I thought maybe it was an honest mistake. Second time, I don’t think so. Are you telling me that full time waiters don’t know the difference between lunch and dinner? I won’t be going back for the 3rd time.

I will mention that they fixed the issue both times when I brought it up, but it shouldn’t be my job as the customer to make sure I am not being overcharged.

Eddie and his staff run an excellent operation and me and my family consistently feel welcomed and taken care of when we come here. They go the extra mile in service along with their excellent and well portioned food! Very happy to learn you can find great Birria tacos in southern Minnesota.

Authentic Mexican restaurant with lovely decorations, excellent food and an amazing service. The tacobirrias are simply delicious and they come with a small amount of rice and beans (both very tasty) and are highly recommended. I absolutely loved the tortilla chips that came with the salsa. They are freshly made at the restaurant (and you can tell!). As a side note, the restaurant and the bathrooms are exceptionally clean, which is a plus.
