We had an amazing experience at Lavka! The food was absolutely delicious — we tried the borsch, the vareniki with cherry, and the pizza, and everything was perfect. After that, we had tea (Currant Breeze) and Napoleon for dessert — both were so good and the perfect way to finish the meal. The flavors were rich and fresh, the atmosphere was really nice, and the waiter Viktoria was very friendly and helpful. Definitely a place I’d come back to again!

The “Shuba” and Medovik were pure joy from the first bite.
The herring under fur coat was super well-balanced – clean flavors, perfect layers, not overly heavy, and the texture was spot on. It felt thoughtfully made, not just “another salad.”
And the Medovik… wow. Soft, delicate layers, creamy but not too sweet, with that warm honey flavor that just melts in your mouth. Absolutely delicious and honestly a little masterpiece.

Located in the building below Rosa Sky, the restaurant sits in a newer, beautiful area and immediately feels like it’s filling a gap that’s been missing in this neighborhood for years.
The menu highlights traditional dishes you don’t often see in Miami. The borscht and chicken kiev stood out as especially authentic. I ordered the chicken kyiv for lunch, served with mashed potatoes and broccolini, and it was excellent. Lightly breaded, full of flavor, and cooked perfectly, it was a fantastic introduction to the dish. The flavors were comforting and bold without being heavy. I also noticed the Napoleon desserts on display, which looked stunning, even though I didn’t try one this time.
One of the most unique aspects of Lavka is the small market attached to the restaurant. It’s stocked with Russian, Ukrainian, and Siberian products, including cheeses, fish, dumplings, and packaged goods you rarely find in the U.S. It felt special and genuinely meaningful, especially for anyone from Eastern Europe.
Service had a few minor delays, but nothing that detracted from the overall experience. I would absolutely return and bring others with me. Lavka fills an important niche in Brickell, and I hope it’s here to stay.

This was the best borscht I’ve ever had in Miami! Absolutely delicious, authentic, and full of flavor. I truly enjoyed every bite and will definitely come back again. I will also make sure to bring my friends here.
The two girls who served our table were amazing. They were friendly, attentive, and extremely helpful. They explained everything, gave great recommendations, and made us feel very welcome.
