Gwen Steaks is doing their big one. Salmon rolls are truly delicious. Very first order, I ordered 5 by mistake turns out it was not a mistake. I’m hooked and addicted. I had to write my review after visiting for the second time and just ordered three salmon rolls . Meaty, juicy well portioned, rolls. I support Black owned business. Plus excellent customer service

Spotless restaurant. Smells clean. Looks clean. Friendly cook made my cheese steak with care. I got it with american, onions, hot peppers and ketchup. Perfect. My nose is running a lil bit from the heat. Meat was tender, roll was soft and fresh. I will be hitting up Gwen’s again. Highly recommend.

I wish I could leave them 10 stars! You will be hard pressed to find a better cheesesteak anywhere in the USA, than Gwen’s! The steaks were cooked to perfection, tender, juicy, and well-seasoned, the rolls were fresh as if they came directly from a bakery! We loved their onion rings …simply succulent! Thank you, Shannon and Mike, for providing this neighborhood with such a great establishment that puts people first. Your friendliness and hospitality were superb as well! My daughters went and got me a chicken cheesesteak! It wasn’t cooked enough No flavor! Couldn’t taste the onions or anything., My daughter got a burger she said she liked it. Fries were just okay.

I wish I had a photo but I ate it all. I should probably take a photo of the melted cheese on my black pants because it was so delicious I couldn’t stop eating it while driving. I was in philly for a funeral and when leaving starving just googled philly cheesesteaks near me and went for the place with the best review ( have been grossly disappointed with pat and genos on a previous visit). This place did not disappoint. The woman behind the counter who I’d like to assume was Gwen was courteous and was patient listening to my boyfriends order on speaker phone. She then not only cooked everything from scratch but even took out a green pepper to slice and cook fresh. After returning to my car she then realized I forgot the ketchup and came down the block to find me. I couldn’t ask for anything more. Oh the food lol my chicken cheesesteak was delicious and when I got back to NYC 4 hours later mg boyfriend just loved his beef one witn hot cherry peppers too.

We called in an order for chicken cheesesteaks ..it was done when we got there 20 mins later. Rolls ,meat were fresh and everything else on the sandwich were fresh as well .The steaks were good . they were fully stocked with juices, sodas, potato chips , snacks etc. The place is bright ,neat and clean and to top it off the owners are so nice. Very friendly warm and welcoming. Makes you feel good to support a business like this

This was my first time there, but DEFINITELY not the last! The owners were very nice and pleasant. The place was very clean and the food smelled really good! I purchased the chicken cheesesteak platter. My husband ordered the cheesesteak platter. The quality of the meat was excellent!!! We really enjoyed our meal! We will definitely be returning. Thank you for a good experience!

Staff was slow to open after 11:15am. I later realized that the sign Wasn’t flipped over. They were actually open for business. The two ladies were busy and were prepping during the time I was waiting for my sandwich. However when I got my sandwich and began to eat it almost an hour later ( because i was busy at work)… it was delicious and held up really well and that’s what really matters. Bread was fresh and meat was high quality I will go back again maybe today

Really bad veggie steak / hoagie. Don’t offer a veggie steak option on the menu if it’s going to be terrible. Take it off the menu if you can’t make it good. Spent way too much money for my stomach to be hurting from over spicy, no flavor, random wet veggies on an undercooked flavorless bun.
