I think they are definitely not generous with eggs. I ordered an omelette and it was the smallest omelette I have ever had in any diner. Went there another day and ordered a breakfast burrito and it came with a couple strands of eggs. I couldn’t believe it. I immediately lost my appetite.
But if they want to see the actual proof of what I’m talking about with the burrito, or try to dispute then I will post the pictures on here. For now I will just post pictures of the actual burrito and what it looks like. Eggs are not very expensive serve it to people that pay for it.
Will not be visiting again!

I had to come to Hickory for the first time this week and decided I would grab some breakfast before heading home. I googled and this location looked like a good option. The staff and other patrons were so friendly. Even though it was a little busy we were seated quickly. The prices are very reasonable and the food was good. Would recommend and would return.

I ate at Sunny Side this evening with my family (party of 16). The staff were friendly and took our order once our entire party arrived. I was extremely impressed with the experience. The food was prepared and got to our table much quicker than expected. I ate off the breakfast menu and the portions were very appealing. Everyone at our table was bragging about their meal – which is rare for most families.
Today, Sunny Side gets 5 stars for great service, great food, and enjoyable atmosphere. I’ll definitely be back to visit soon.

The food was amazing, affordable and we got it fast. Everyone there was nice. I also like how the menu was laid out and easy to read and to find what page I needed to go for what I wanted

First off walked in and it seemed like no one was in a hurry to seat us (not busy) the guy at the register just stood there and stared at us. When they felt like seating us the guy just pointed to the booth how rude. Sat at table for 10 mins waiting on service was about to get up, walk out and go to bojangles down the street. After about 15 mins we finally got to order drinks and food. Food portions are skimpy for the price they charge. Finished my so called huge breakfast french toast eggs bacon. $40.00 for 3 people to eat breakfast and still leave hungry is ridiculous. It was our first time to check it out but will be the last time as well. If you want big portions for the price go to Hen and Egg in downtown Newton. Great service, food, portions, and prices

Jovhanna was a wonderful waitress and very attentive. The food was delicious but my gravy was cold so they brought me more out. Other than that it was a nice first experience. The restaurant is very comfortable and clean and staff is great. We will be back!

Super busy on Sunday for lunch due to church crowd. We were sat relatively quickly as some groups were leaving. I order the chicken livers, menu said $6.50 with two sides which shocked me. They were delicious but menu was inaccurate and actual price paid was $8.50, still a decent deal for the amount you get but misleading if not accurate to menu. Wife enjoyed her French toast. All in all a nice place we will try again.

The food and service was excellent. 3 egg omelette with sausage, green pepper and mushrooms hash browns and toast. The restaurant is extremely clean and decorated well. It was our first time there but not our last! Very reasonably priced and friendly staff!

They only serve whites and Mexicans. Started ordering to-go. I guess the name became familiar. In two different occasions, I was missing French fries with my orders. I overlooked it as a mistake the first time. This last time, the manager confirmed everything was in there. I get home and fries are missing. This place is in Mountainview. I live in Viewmont over by the high school. If you know Hickory, you know that’s across town. I will not be back to this restaurant and I do not recommend any one of color or with integrity eat here due to how they treat others.

My wife and I decided to try a local restaurant for lunch in Mountain View, NC – Sunny Side. We had about a 10 minute wait to be seated. They were fairly busy when we arrived just before lunch time.
I ordered the club sandwich with fries and my wife ordered the 3 egg “build your own” omelette plate. Our food was brought out in a timely manner. My wife said her food was good and I have no complaints about mine either. My wife said their coffee was extremely tasty.
One can order breakfast foods any time of day here which is a plus I think. I’ve maybe tasted a little more flavorable clubs but like I said, no real complaints. I’d give my food a 4 out of 5 in taste. My wife said her food was delicious.
Restrooms were clean – but it is a “one seater” type so you have to wait your turn to go if they’re busy!
Overall we were pleased with everything and I do recommend and we will go back!
