We have been there a couple of times. The first time we went was when they were doing line dancing. And the atmosphere looks like it was very lively and fun. But there were no open tables so we left. The second time we went there, it was a strange time of day, and there was no one there, including no one that worked there. So we had to wait a while for someone to come out and wait on us. Which was fine. I ordered brisket lean. And I got a tiny bowl of brisket that was mostly burnt or fat. It was disgusting. And they charged $15 for that tiny bowl of brisket. All of the sides are extra or à la cart. The chicken on the bone was ok. The grits and the corn were very good. The beans were OK.. We will never be back unless it’s for line dancing, And we would not recommend to friends or relatives.

Today, I ordered the brisket burger and jalapeno cheddar sausage link to go and was not disappointed. The burger was cooked to perfection, not dry at all and incredibly tasty and the sausage was excellent too! I’ll definitely be back to try the ribs as they were not on the menu today!
Most of all I found the staff to be super happy and friendly. There are also some snacks and small gifts for purchase! Pay them a visit you will not be disappointed!

Brisket was dry. Went during lunch and Unfortunately our food was not as good as it should have been for a bbq restaurant. Dry Brisket and dry pulled pork. It was probably not fresh and overtime it dries out. It did have a nice smoke flavor but where’s the juice. The sides were nothing special. The interior decor is a bit strange. Walls and floor look dirty. They probably were not but it just looks that way. Because your in an area that does not get a lot of tourist activity your food needs to be on point to get repeat business. Would i recommend this establishment, I would say no. Bbq is an art form. Great bbq will keep them coming. Average bbq, well, I can spend my money elsewhere.

I recently dined at Yard Bar during their soft opening, and it featured the best brisket and ribs I’ve ever had! The meat was tender and flavorful, and the chicken, pulled pork & sausage were fantastic too. The BBQ sauces were delicious, and the coleslaw, corn and beans were excellent sides.
The drink selection, especially the champagne, was impressive—nothing cheap here! The atmosphere was lively and fun, making it perfect for families; my kids loved it! We also picked up some merchandise, including a hat and shirt for my husband.
Overall, I can’t recommend Yard Bar enough! I’m already dreaming about that brisket and can’t wait to return!

Atmosphere was great, the food was alright. The brisket probably would have been good if it was not overcooked. The pulled pork was pretty good and the sauce had a lot of flavor. They sides were bland. It’s good for Panama City, but it wouldn’t fly in Texas.

We had the briskets, ribs and jalapeno cheddar sausage. The ribs and sausage are excellent. The brisket could be a little bit better quality but was cooked to perfection. I will say I’m a tough critic being from East Texas. The sides were really good. My favorite was the beans. Would love to see some addition to desserts such as cobblers. Can’t have good Texas BBQ without cobbler lol. Best BBQ in Panama City area for sure.

Came for lunch, was not disappointed! Service was friendly, portions were generous (you can easily split a single side between two people), and the BBQ was excellent. We had the sausage link, pulled pork, and brisket, and the owner gave us a small sample of brisket style smoked pork belly. Easily the best brisket I’ve had east of Austin. We got the spoon bread, jalapeño slaw and pickles/onions as sides. Don’t miss the pickles and onions! The pickles are sweet with a little bit of heat and the onions are pickled too, they’re great. Overall very happy, and we will definitely be back!

The food is fantastic, unbelievable brisket and wonderful ribs. For the quality of the food the price is worth it. It fits the price range of the restaurants in the area while offering higher quality food. A plethora of available sides, I recommend the spoonbread and coleslaw!
The inside is very open and if it was packed I would have some concerns about the sound echoing to overwhelming levels. I did not experience this during my time dining.
The staff were super welcoming and friendly, willing to answer any questions. It’s a very laidback experience. It’ll make you feel right at home.
Everything on the menu is available until sold out! Limited supply so get there quick for your favorites. And if you’re clever like me you’ll be there on Fridays for the elusive smoked brisket burger!!
