We are a local family owned & operated business located on the southside of Oklahoma City committed to bringing a fresh, tasty product to the community in a clean, fun environment. Our operating hours vary weekly based on our jobs outside of the shop! When we’re opened, we bring the heat! We offer a wide range of pizza sizes from a 10 small personal pizza up to a 28 XXXL fit to feed a huge party or a couple of teenage boys (24hr notice needed for 28)! We also serve wings and various other fried appetizers, breadsticks, salads, and desserts. Heavy D’s Pizzeria is truly a gem. We normally get Spare Parts or Nuts & Bolts pizza! You really can’t go wrong.. both are insanely good! Like “think about it later in the day” good.. And don’t even get me started on the limited Thanksgiving pizzas they just did… absolutely life-changing!
This is a family-owned shop that puts real care into what they make! Please be kind and patient and I promise, you’ll get some of the best pizza you’ll ever taste. Also, do NOT skip the elote corn nuggets!!

I have been wanting to try the XXXL pizza for a while, because it looks awesome. Finally, I made it there, and it completely lived up to my expectations. The owners are incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the pizza was delicious. We also ordered corn nuggets prepared elote-style, and they were fantastic. This place is a must-try for any pizza lover.

The staff are always so friendly and welcoming. They seem to be in permanent good spirits, which I would be too if I worked with such fantastic food! The pizza crust is packed with flavor and cooked perfectly. They don’t skimp on the toppings! My only warning is to not eat it right away as it comes out fresh and HOT. It’s an absolutely great local place. They made our pizza half Spare Parts and half American Muscle. Not pictures are the delicious spicy cheese curds that we ate first.

We’ve been wanting to try Heavy D’s for a long time! Last night we finally had the opportunity and it was amazing! We ordered three pizzas and two orders of wings, one buffalo and one garlic parm. We love wings, but are consistently disappointed with Wingstop and Buffalo Wild Wings. The wings here were massive and so flavorful! The portions are generous and each order came with a side of fries. The fries were seasoned and great! For pizza, we had one small Full Boost, one large Maserati, and a large All American Muscle. They were all a hit. We don’t eat a lot of pizza in our house because of picky kids that don’t typically like or want pizza, but even the kids were happy!
We love supporting local small businesses and this place definitely has earned a spot on our dinner list!

Let me tell you something. THIS PLACE is a unicorn. Some of the best pizza I’ve ever had. And the the fried ravioli and spicy cheese curds…cmon man food isn’t supposed to be this good. Don’t get me started on the customer service…it was straight up impeccable and just all around top notch. I watched heavy D interact with his customers both on the phone and in person and he was so welcome and amazing. The restaurant was very clean and cozy. The remodel was well done. I highly encourage anyone out here to try them out…and to be a repeat customer.

Excellent Pizza on the South Side!
I dropped in late, but only about mid shift for them–they are a late night pizza joint, cranking out pizzas from 5PM to Midnight…
It’s an interesting place: the menu alone should be a clue that these folks do more than just make pizzas…they like to have a little fun in the automotive and motorcycle worlds as well. With pizzas like American Muscle, American Classic, Sunday Cruise and Full Boost…it’s obvious they like to go fast and make graat pizzas 🙂 .
It’s a small storefront (not quite hole in the wall, because you can see it from Western) in a shopping center on the South Side of OKC, which automatically ups the Pizza Power Score by about 25 Points. (The best pizza places are storefront shops in mid tier plazas. Prove me wrong.)
I, of course, had to ask about the Nuts and Bolts pizza, because everyone knows that pineapple belongs on pizza. In addition, I was “coerced” into ordering the 5 Cheese Mac And Cheese Special, since it was a limited time offer, and house specialty…
The pizzas were handmade and brought out within about 10 minutes…not bad for made to order pizzas! And we spent the time talking about drag racing and engine building , so the time really flew by 🙂
So how was it?

There is a reason this place has a 4.8 star rating and over 200 reviews on Google (tying it for first place in the OKC Metro!) and 4.9 stars on FB. The Nuts and Bolts pizza was AMAZING. It’s not NY style pizza, and it’s not Chicago Pizza… It’s a medium thickness crust, crisp yet not crunchy…let’s call it the South Side Style Pizza. The sauce was not too heavy, the Canadian Bacon was generously piled on, and the pineapples were not only grilled, they were also dusted with a homemade secret cinnamon sugar “rub” that really brings “Hawaiian Style” pizza up a notch. Definitely one of the best “Hawaiian pizzas” I have had.
And the 5 Cheese Mac and Cheese Pizza…well, for starters, I’m a meat on pizza guy. Alfredo pizzas, Margherita Pizzas, and those types aren’t my style, but five cheeses? And Mac and Cheese? Have to try it. And…I am impressed. Their mac and cheese would be a great dish by itself, and on that thinner crust pizza, it was actually really, really good. If you have someone who doesn’t eat meat, this would be a great pizza to try. Oh, and if you have gluten sensitivities, or are doing the keto thing, they also have a cauliflower crust option. In fact, if you have dietary restrictions, their build your own would be a great option, as they can recommend combos that will taste great. They also have salads available as well.
I’d didn’t get to try the wings, but I did sample their Spicy Cheese Curds (with homemade Ranch Dressing). Listen…these things have a little kick to them! But wow — they are good! And their Ranch is great…Definitely a unique side item to try!
Pizzas range from a 10″ pie (serves one or two people) that is available for certain combos or a 14″ large pizza (serves 4-6) all the way up the their 28″ XXXL Pizzas (serves one teenager). only a few XXXL Pizza doughs are made each day, so if you’re thinking about getting one, either order early or get with them the day before so they can prepare enough dough. And here’s an interesting fact: if you fold your XXXL pIzza in half, it’d be the largest Calzone in the City 🙂
So, yes their pizza was good, but did it pass the ultimate test? Could I eat it cold, for breakfast the next day? Definitely. The slices were not greasy or soggy, the topping

We absolutely love this place! The weekly special pizzas are always creative and delicious! Our favorite so far has been the Birria pizza. We brought it home and it was gone in five minutes… and that’s saying something, because my boys are very picky eaters. You can really tell its a family owned and operated business by the atmosphere. Everyone here is so friendly and helpful, which makes the whole experience even better. We also tried the cookies and cream cannolis…..so good! Their 3XL pizza is massive! Perfect for feeding a crowd. With so many tasty options, this has definitely become our family’s favorite pizza spot! ❤️

The people were very nice and they nailed the theme. I had a large pizza and the fried pickles. The pickles were fantastic and just a little spicy. Loved them. The ranch was also very good. I will absolutely come back and try the spicy curds and the mozzarella sticks (if they are made by them). The pizza was not as good though. It smelled good on the way home and it has a touch of herbs on top with some garlic in the taste, but it wasn’t as inspired as the breading on the pickles. I love a small business and love supporting them, but I’ll try some other menu items next time.
