This was a great experience, the food was fantastic. We had a group of approximately 20, they fed us family style about 6 to 8 different dishes plus appetizers. As far as DC food goes, this is reasonable. The service was impeccable. The environment was good and the food was fantastic.

We have visited this trattoria many times. Over this time the food quality has remained at very high level. Service is excellent. The restaurant is inside a small house-like setting with three floors. Recently they raised the prices. The prices are quite high. The food was excellent. We had seafood chicken as well as other wonderful pasta dishes. I particularly liked the chicken cacciatore which was just enough spicy for my taste. All in all it is a great experience if you can pay the high prices

Visiting and went to eat here with my husband – WOW! I am a big foodie and this place was phenomenal. We got the garlic bread with marina, yum. Husband got the chicken piccata which was delicious, the sauce .. we were taking the bread to soak up the sauce! I got the sausage and peppers, the perfect amount of spicy. 10/10. Then got the turofa (or something like that) and it was the best dessert! Highly recommend

This restaurant is amazing! The atmosphere is perfect, the people are super nice and pleasant, and the food is out of this world delicious! We got excellent service from Luis…ordered the fettuccine Alfredo and tortellini with meat. Also, fried calamari as an appetizer and tried the pomegranate martini. Everything was prepared perfectly and squeezed in canoli for dessert! This is my second time here while in town and will definitely be back. Five stars!

My wife and I love Italian food and wanted to try something new and this restaurant did not disappoint. We showed up on a Saturday night and was seated quickly. Our waiter Manuel was very attentive and food came out fast. The food and drinks were very good. Definitely a great place for a date night. Highly recommend this restaurant for authentic Italian food.

First off, finding a good Italian restaurant isn’t easy. And they made my carbonara the way I like it. It was ny first time there and I came in alone to celebrate myself on finally closing on a home. Everything was perfect! I really enjoyed my meal and I would definitely come back. Such a lovely little restaurant with ample amounts of space. Great place for a date or family dinner. The options were pretty good. I would definitely come back. The food came out so fast since I came in at their least busy hour. It was an hour before they closed for the lunch portion of their day, they reopen later. I enjoyed the silence. The waiter was very nice and checked on me. They have a wide variety of alcoholic beverages and classics such as espresso martinis. I can’t wait to return.

I went to this trattoria because it was in the neighborhood where I grew up. I had a very enjoyable conversation with Ernie Buruca, the bartender. Ernie is a very good Barcologist. For those that are not aware of what a Barcologist is, it’s a bartender/psychologist. I had a very pleasant conversation that went from drinks, children, adult children, politics and government. Ernie was on point the whole time. Great job Ernie. Now the food . The seafood linguine was outstanding. It had more than enough seafood to compliment the linguine. It was well prepared well seasoned. It’s rare that you get the good seafood – spice blend . It could be considered pricey by some, but remember you get what you pay for. It is well worth it. I ordered both white wine sauce and marinara. Both were great. I also ordered two additional entrees. All was to go. If you get your food and drive 20 miles and your food hasn’t dried out or gotten soggy, and is still wonderful, the you have found a gem. I will rate the other entrees later. I need a nap.
UPDATE: Okay I had my nap from eating all that wonderful seafood. Now the veal and chicken parmigan (two separate orders), were wonderful. I have had them with the veal or chicken patty was over cooked and dry. This was not the case. The veal and chicken were moist and didn’t need to be drowned in sauce as is the case when it is over cooked. There was enough sauce and cheese to accentuate the flavor of the meat.
Lastly, the presentation was outstanding. Look at the photo of seafood linguine. Great Job!!

Service was great; they let us customize the pasta order. Food was good! FYI, antipasto for two comes with pickled veggies (and lots of carrots) on top of the meat and cheese. Meat and cheese was really great, but if you don’t like pickled or olives, then be cautioned.

I found Trattoria Alberto when I was on the Hill for meetings wanted to try their tortellini as it’s my favorite pasta. Trattoria didn’t disappoint and their tortellini was fantastic. The sauce was very tasty and went with the tortellini great. The creme brulee was a nice way to finish off lunch!

Our favorite Italian restaurant when in DC! We love dining in the bar area. It is very much a cozy neighborhood gathering place and we meet the most interesting diners. The homemade pastas and specialty dishes have never disappointed! Service is excellent with superb attention to detail. The cucumber mint martini is exceptional! A very friendly place with delicious choices.
