Reviews
The standout was their homemade cherry pie. The crust was flaky and the filling was full of deep, rich cherry flavors.
The bowl of Booyah ($5.75) was heartwarming, filling, and a great value. The stew/soup was mildly seasoned with chicken, large chunks of potatoes, carrots, beans, and other vegetables. I found it needed more seasoning/pepper to elevate the flavor, but it was still satisfying.
The blackened shrimp tacos were covered with a bright and acidic mango, strawberry, and jalapeño salsa. While the salsa was good, it unfortunately overwhelmed the shrimp’s flavor. The flour tortilla was also slightly gummy.
Note for first-time eaters: Ask the front window for the free gift – prepare to be entertained!
Special thanks to Katrina for the great recommendations and the entertaining time when dolling out our first-time visitor gifts!
The service was extremely friendly and my food was served quickly. I got the booyah of course, cheese curds, and the Door county cherry pie. Everything was delicious and for under $20 it was an absolute steal! I noticed that they also serve cocktails, and they are only $6, so I will definitely be back before I leave Green Bay. HIGHLY recommend the Booyah Shed!
We also got the pulled pork tacos…. Better than most meat places I have gone.
Also we tried the carrot cake and it was super moist, and the icing wasn’t too sweet like most.
Lastly the place just feels so welcoming, staff are super friendly and willing to joke too
If I ever make it back to Wisconsin I will be sure to return to this place to try a few more things on their giant menu.
Unfortunately, the Booyah was a disappointment. I rarely eat Booyah, but I was hoping for some comforting “feel-good food.” I ordered two pints to go, and, unfortunately, the Booyah was mostly liquid with a little meat, and the veggies were so mushy that they all settled at the bottom of the pint. You could hardly distinguish them as vegetables. I’m not sure if I got the bottom or top of the barrel, but I won’t be returning for the Booyah. However, I will definitely be back for those jerk chicken tacos and to try other items on the menu!
The gentlemen working at the window were very courteous and friendly, which explains why customers keep coming back for years!
Great atmosphere, great food and great people. I regret not getting the Booyah. We will go back and I will get a bowl.
