The food was good but not spectacular. I asked the server if the lemon juice they used for drinks was freshly squeezed or pre-purchased. She reassured me it was freshly squeezed. When we got the bill, I told her my drink tasted artificial, and she told me they’d squeezed it. They did not. We split the check. The server charged me way more than she should have. I realized it after tapping my card, to which I asked for an itemized receipt. She told me she couldn’t provide one. Make sure you don’t make my mistake and pay for something without knowing what you’re paying for. I am most upset about the principle behind being overcharged because I don’t mind paying for what I ask for. As for service, there is a lot of room for improvement. They also brought us water for the table that we did not request, and they tried to charge us for it.

I had the pleasure to eat at multiple restaurants all over Santa Teresa during my two week stay. Amici was the place my family frequented the most! First off, don’t ever go here without ordering the Sole Pizza! It is an absolute must have! The specials are awesome and the drinks are spectacular, but the amazing staff and people who own and run this restaurant make it truly special. I suggest you stop looking and go get a table now…. You can thank me later

I love an outside restaurant, where there are half walls and you can feel the air around you. They have super cute little lights, and it loots beautiful.
The head chef here has a Michelin Star winner. He had a special the night we were there. Tears came to my eyes on the first bite. There is so much flavor. It was a flavor explosion and so fresh.
We also had a pizza, and it was excellent.
The drinks were delightful and fresh.
The manager came over and checked on us as well. He was lovely.
This place was truly a vibe. I left feeling happy and full.
Side note, I came home with leftovers that we enjoyed the next day.

It is rare to go with a group of 6, all order different things, and everything turn out delicious. I tried the pesto, gnocchi, ravioli, and Tagliatelle ragu, and all were delicious. Also tried the sole pizza, and the hot honey was a nice touch. Honestly don’t think you can go wrong with anything on the menu. Will say to bring bug spray, as we did get some bug bites while eating outside.

5 years later and the pizza is still so good! Pizza, calzone, and drinks were great. Pizza was super thin and tasty, ordered a vegetarian and margarita. My mom ordered a calzone with cheese and ham, it was huge, def could feed 2 people. Tequila lemonade was delicious. Went here over another pizza place down the street on advice of our taxi driver. Did not disappoint, pizzas were a good size. Husband and I shared 2 and had leftovers for next day.

I can say after living in Costa Rica for over a year that pizza is not their specialty. It’s something about the cheese and their meats… That being said, Amici is otherworldly. This was my third time visiting Amici and I can’t wait to return. It’s food is next level good. They make all their bread in house in their wood fire oven and it’s to die for. Their meats are excellent. Their service is cheery and nice. You might not be considering Italian during your trip here, but you will be mistaken to miss a place this incredible.

The first place in Santa Teresa to get 5 stars from me! Service was great! Food was amazing. We had the braised octopus as an app, the braised beef cheek Ragu and a pizza can’t remember the name. They make the pasta and pizza fresh in house. Everything fantastic but I liked the pizza better than the pasta.
Parking is in the back fyi. We’ll be coming back!
