2 PaiZan’s is City Island’s own bronx style pizzeria. With a rotating selection of limited topping and specialty pies, 2 PaiZan’s is a MUST-stop-slice-shop for anyone traveling to or residing within the City Island confines. In addition to the pies, 2 PaiZan’s offers a range of other interesting and delicious options, from bureks to cheesecakes, pepperoni rolls to full blown catering trays, and 3/6ft heroes to fries and garlic knots. Great space for small parties or solo eaters. Eat-in, take-out or delivery options. Remember as times change (and tariff insanity ensues) so do food prices, so be sure to check in with your server for the latest pricing information. Friendly service and warm facilities round out your experience at 2 PaiZan’s. No parking lot, but on-street spots abound. Just go and get a slice already… and then come back for more!

I rarely write reviews, but 2 PaiZans Pizzeria deserves all the praise—and more! From the moment you walk in, you can feel the pride, culture, and heart behind this family-run spot. The staff treats you like you’re part of the family, and the food? Next level.
Their pizza is perfectly crisp with a chewy crust and just the right amount of cheese and sauce. You can taste the tradition in every bite. But don’t stop at the pizza—try the burek or the Albanian-style dishes. It’s not often you find a pizzeria serving such a unique mix of Italian and Balkan flavors—and doing it so well. The sandwich was a knockout, and the strawberries with chocolate and pistachio was the perfect finish.
It’s clear they put love into everything they do, and that love shows. Clean, welcoming space, great music, and a truly local vibe you can’t fake. Whether you’re a City Island regular or just passing through—this is the place to eat.

2 PaiZans is an absolute hidden gem on City Island! Their Italian–Albanian cuisine is insanely good — the Sicilian pizza is perfectly crisp and fluffy with rich, flavorful toppings, and the special-order cheese marinara burek pie is nothing short of legendary.
It’s a tiny (mostly take-out) shop, but the food packs an incredibly big punch! Every bite felt like flavor perfection — comforting, bold, and just unforgettable. The team is friendly and welcoming, and the passion for great food really shows.

I recently visited 2PaiZan’s, and it was an absolutely fantastic experience—easily a five-star! The pizza and Burek I ordered was phenomenal: perfectly crispy crust, rich and flavorful sauce, and fresh, high-quality toppings that made me do my happy wiggly dance with every bite lol. The food was definitely the highlight; you can really taste the care and attention in every bite.
The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making it a great spot to relax and enjoy a great meal. The service was attentive and friendly, which made the entire visit even better. I highly recommend 2PaiZan’s to any pizza and burek lover looking for a top-notch experience!

They do have really good pizza. They use quality products. Recently they are making their in-house pies larger so they can charge more per slice, personally I think $4 for a reg slice is too much but I will pay it.
I ordered a small pie. The size of the slices are perfect for a 3 year old. I don’t think I’ll order anymore small pies.

Our go to for pizza and burek on the island! The quality of the food is fresh and delicious. They have special fillings like cabbage and potatoes in the burek and exclusive toppings on their pies on certain days that you will not find anywhere else in the Bronx! Hit the follow button on social media for their daily updates. Oh and their Albanian cevape (sausages) with cabbage salad and feta are a must try!

A must visit on City Island!! 2 Paizans is a true family run business with excellent service and both affordable and delicious Albanian food. The yogurt and spinach Burek is an out of this world combo! No pics were included in this review, because sometimes you’ve got to just experience thing’s for yourself! Really yummy pizza shop in City Island that offers some traditional Albanian food along with the beloved Italian pizza shop staples. I tried a pizza with turkey pepperoni and it was so yummy and flavorful. The Albanian burek has delicious filo dough and you will have to stop yourself from eating the whole burek it’s so good! I recommend the cabbage one. Looking forward to going back. Friendly staff!

Menus posted all over the restaurant with prices for slices of pizza. Regular cheese slice is supposed to cost $3 but the guy rung me up for $4 at the register. After I pointed this out, he said the slices are bigger now and that’s why it’s $4 and the menu prices are subject to change. This change wasn’t on any of the menus inside or outside of the establishment and it wasn’t communicated in any way beforehand. The man at the register and lady waiting were also quite rude.
