From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with the most amazing aroma and a beautifully designed, cozy, and welcoming atmosphere. The staff is incredibly attentive, dishes are cleared the moment you’re done, and they’re always ready to assist without hovering.
The presentation of both food and drinks is truly top-notch. We had drinks and appetizers, and everything impressed.
We ordered the Wagyu A5 Rockfire, which you cook yourself on a hot stone after oiling the stone with a piece of beef fat they provide. Oh. My. God. Every bite melted in our mouths, so much so that we ordered a second round. It was one of the most memorable dishes we’ve ever had.
We also tried the Nobu Spicy Salmon Crispy, which was very good, tasted like a high-quality sushi roll. While it didn’t blow us away like the Wagyu, it was still enjoyable.
One of the most memorable drinks we had was the One Night in Bangkok, and the presentation was out of this world. It’s poured and infused tableside with an aromatic cloud of lemongrass, and it’s as delicious as it is dramatic.
As a sweet surprise, since we were celebrating our anniversary, they gifted us a Yuzu cheesecake on the house, a thoughtful and delicious gesture.
Yes, this place is pricey, but between the exceptional service, the unforgettable food, and the meticulous presentation, Room Service is doing everything right. Highly recommended for special occasions or if you simply want to treat yourself to an extraordinary night out.

The Appetizers: We started with the Scallops with Sea Urchin and Caviar. While the sea urchin on top was tasty, the scallops themselves were a letdown—they tasted a bit fishy and the centers were still cold. The Pork Belly Bao was even more disappointing; I was expecting melt-in-your-mouth pork, but it was incredibly dry and chewy.
The Mains: After the starters, we tried to play it safe with the Room Service Pad Thai and Drunken Noodles. Sadly, the prawns in the Pad Thai were overcooked and super dry.
The restaurant is beautiful, but for the price and the hype, the execution on the food just isn’t there. If you’re looking for a “vibe,” this is it, but for a high-quality meal, I’d look elsewhere in Milwaukee.
First of all, the vibe? Chef’s kiss. Mellow, classy, a little dark, lounge-y in that “you feel cooler just sitting there” kind of way. The velvety, cushy seating made me want to cancel all my plans and just live there indefinitely.
And then… Carli enters the chat.
Mad. Props. To. Carli.
She greeted us like we were VIPs, guided us like a culinary fairy godmother, and made recommendations with the confidence of someone who knows she’s about to change your life. We trusted her immediately — as one does when greatness appears tableside.
We kicked things off with shared apps: Waygu as Rockfire (buttery, melt-in-your-soul magic), Royal Flower Dumplings, Kinnickinnic Crisp Shell, and the Nobu Spicy Salmon Crispy — which Carli brilliantly suggested we sub with tuna. A visionary. An icon. A leader.
Each dish somehow outdid the last. That Waygu? I will be dreaming about it for months. It was so indulgent it should require a warning label. I’m fairly certain food p0rN was invented for that exact bite.
Then came the noodle debate: Pad Thai vs. Drunken Noodles. Carli said she prefers the drunken noodles, and at this point she had not steered us wrong once — so obviously we followed her lead.
Now let me just say, I once took a cooking class in Thailand and made drunken noodles myself. I’ve tasted the real deal. And this version? Hands down the best I’ve had in the U.S. No question. We added shrimp, and they were light, juicy, perfectly cooked — not a single rubbery overachiever in the bunch. Absolute perfection.
We wrapped it up with a hazelnut tiramisu situation. I don’t remember the exact name because we inhaled it in approximately 18 seconds. It never stood a chance.
Long story short: completely, wildly worth it. My boyfriend and I live in Madison and we both agreed we will absolutely be making the drive down just to eat here again.
We came for our anniversary.
We left planning our next visit.
And Carli? She deserves a raise, a trophy, and possibly her own holiday.
My wife and I highly recommend you make arrangements to try this place out; you will not regret it.
Loved our server Adalia, she went above & beyond! She was professional & fun! She knew everything about the menu. I have food allergies & Adalia made sure I was good. Food & drinks were exceptional, loved the ambiance-appreciated the low lighting! Def try the cocktail ONE NIGHT IN BANGKOK! Pad Thai was delicious!
