Grabbed dinner with a buddy of mine here this past week. Casual and fun vibe, and they have a great assortment of appetizers to choose from. It was Thursday so it was 50% off apps so we each ordered a couple and they were generally all very good.
I loved my ahi tuna appetizer, especially the sauces. The cold crab dip was good but not spectacular. My friend enjoyed his nachos with the blackened chicken and the shrimp skillet as well.
They have a nice selection of beers and also some good bourbons.
Service was friendly and efficient, no complaints.
Will definitely return.

We were planning to go to H&B about a block away buuutttt they closed their kitchen midday (whatever). We didn’t want to walk to far so we literally stumbled into the Shuckin’ Shack and man am I glad we did. I had a half dozen of the oysters of the day… these things were so incredibly fresh!!! The tasting notes on the menu were dead on and y’all!!!!!!!! The platter came with everything… lemon, vinegar, really good cocktail sauce, horseradish AND hot-sweet peppers!!! The beer was PERFECTLY ice cold!!! Then I had wings… oh my goodness…. Sooo good!!! I can’t wait to go back!!! Our server was a sweetheart… an all around great experience!!!

We visited on Taco Tuesday and had MARVELOUS tuna tacos for $3 each and beers for $5. Also very good oysters for $1 each. We ate a lot and spent a lot, but far less than we were expecting. Service was excellent though the bartender, the only person working in the front of the house, could use some help.

Bathroom can be a little weird to find if backroom is empty. Has a rare 90 degree urinal placement. Should probably have a partition between urninal and door but I like a little privacy. Did like the octopus tentacle door handle on the main stall, not necessary but appreciated.

Both bartenders were noticeably rude and bristly, the bar was busy but we were by no means pushy and were treated like we didn’t belong there. It seemed our presence in particular was totally unwanted when trying to order drinks. Their strict policies about showing id should be taken care of by a bouncer at the door not the bartender. No one in the whole place looked remotely underage but it seemed like we were singled out for being young-ish (late 20’s) and in a large group. I’m sure ppl have plenty of great there but the staff ruined our time.

A great happy hour spot and the grapefruit crush was the best I’ve ever had. The oysters where a bit gritty so I’m wondering if it was washed after it was shucked. The oyster with cheese and bacon was a bit gritty underneath..otherwise great place for beer selections and the bar tenders were definitely attentive

This location is a must stop for me when I’m driving through. It’s the kind of place that makes you feel right at home. Now on to the oysters. Amazing. I have been here over a dozen times and the oysters are fresh every time. I also recommend the tuna tacos. Trust me. You will be very pleased. Carol at the bar keeps this place running. She is amazing. Friday nights are surprisingly are a big party night. Did not expect this but had a great time.
