I finally decided to try The Chicken Joint after hearing some buzz, but my first experience was a total disappointment. I ordered the Thanksgiving Sandwich Meal, thinking it would be a unique twist on a holiday classic, but it was nearly inedible.
The biggest issues:
• Grease Overload: The entire sandwich was swimming in oil. It was so greasy that it completely drowned out the flavors of the stuffing and gravy.
• Stale Bread: For a $10 meal, you expect a fresh bun. The one I was served was noticeably stale and dry, which made the texture even worse when combined with the greasy filling.
• Missed the Mark: I really wanted to like this place, but the quality just wasn’t there today.
If you’re looking for a solid sandwich in Myrtle Beach, I’d suggest looking elsewhere until they get their quality control in order. Sadly, this fell way short of expectations.

Went for the 1st and 2nd times this week. The tenders were big, juicy and very favorable. I’m not a big french fry person but I ate every one of them (dipped in hurricane sauce). The sauces are definitely homemade, the ranch was delicious. The buffalo sauce was just right. I’ll be back for sure. Prices are very reasonable.

Stopped by Chicken Joint in Myrtle Beach and had a really good experience! We ordered a dozen wings, chicken tenders, truffle cheese fries, and fried okra. Everything was tasty, and I’d give the food a solid 3.75/5. What really stood out, though, was the hospitality. The team here is super friendly—Curtis (the host, if I’m not mistaken) went above and beyond, even running out to Food Lion to grab celery just so we’d have it with our order. That kind of service is rare these days! Jack in the kitchen was also very kind and welcoming.
Overall, good food, lots of dip and sauce options, and top-notch hospitality. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area.

I love this place, love the wings AND tenders and Fries. But I tried a salad for a change. The Asian Chicken salad I figured they would put their asian slaw on top throw some sesame seeds on there and an some kind of dressing. And on their menu its pretty much their house salad with asian slaw…(which is actually one of their sides) Yet when I got I opened it up it did not have any asian slaw on it and it smelled fishy. I called them and they said it was the kimchi and that it is soaked in some kind of vinegar fish sauce. But also the lettuce was rotting like wilted and had dark spots like lettuce in the bag gets if its expired. . has a smell so bad I returned it and they refunded my money. I don’t even understand what the people who created this menu were going for. The menu says it has asian slaw…. yet there was none. And who in their right mind would mix chicken tenders that are fried with a fishy smelling kimchi that did not smell right nor taste even good. I have had kimchi and this wasn’t right. I don’t know if it can go rotten but maybe that is what happened. But I would steer clear from this particulier salad… stick with the house salad. Nowhere on the menu online did it say that the salad had kimchi on it. And I looked it up… kimchi should not smell bad nor should it smell like garbage. This literally smelled like garbage. i had to bump my review down to 4 stars on the food. They really need to pull this off the menu.

We have been here several times. The staff is always friendly and upbeat and the food is always great. The wings and tenders are cooked perfectly and I never skip the fried green beans. My family loves the chicken bog too! Great place with great food and great people.

Really unique fried chicken!! The panko breading was crispy, and the chicken itself was very moist. We really liked the homemade ranch. We only spent $15 on a meal that could be split between two people, so super reasonably priced.
