Probably our favorite meal on vacation. The chicken pot pie was our favorite, the pie crust was 5/5. Wish it was slightly more moist inside but flavor was spot on. Would highly recommend if you need a casual lunch spot.

This restaurant is just a few feet off the main strip in Hamilton. Great location and it has a nice bar. The food was only ok with tourist pricing. The servers were very slow, and the place was very quiet due to the Wednesday street fair.

A service charge for tips is included in the bill, always check your bill. They just give you a credit card mech for changes, and will ask for additional tips.
Would suggest other places next time.

We went to Hog Penny because they had a few vegetarian/vegan options available. Food was terrific! We had an Impossible burger and bangers and mash with Beyond Meat sausages. Impossible burger was one of the best versions we have ever had. And to have an authentic British vegetarian bangers and mash was a treat. The Hog Penny is definitely a British pub. Tight tables and dark interior which can be a minus or a plus depending on what you are looking for in a restaurant/pub. (We felt cramped inside. We should have sat at the outside tables.) Water had a slightly unpleasant taste which we didn’t have at any other restaurants on the island. Maybe they do not filter it in-house. But don’t let that stop you from stopping in for a meal. We will definitely eat there again next time we are in Bermuda.

Oh my gosh, you have to try their seafood boil!
It’s absolutely amazing! It’s enough for two people, and the service was top-notch. ❤️
Trust me, you won’t regret it!

YUM! great for a quick bite. classic english pub vibes. the wahoo bites were my first encounter with wahoo on the island, and as someone who really does not like fish, it was amazing. i’m not actually sure why i got them, but i’m glad i did!! they weren’t fishy whatsoever, very fresh and soft, tender, and meaty. the tartar sauce was also very delicious for dipping. also got an order of onion rings which were also very fresh and tasty. they came with a white mystery sauce (i didn’t hear what it was) that was FANTASTIC. highly recommend the savanna dry cider if you’re a fan of a crisp not-too-sweet hard cider. the somer’s amber ale was also very good. most importantly they had good air conditioning inside, so a nice break from the heat.

Hasn’t really changed in 30 years except the addition of much better AC which is great on a hot day. A great place for a quick lunch and a pint. Bangers and Mash, Fish and Chips and of course Bermuda Fish Chowder! Fast friendly service. We Always go back!

We arrived at the Penny just around 1.30pm. We were promptly escorted to our outdoor table where we could see the Viking Orion in the Hamilton dock.

The waiter took our drinks order shortly after seating us. Service was fast and the wait staff were pleasant. We both ordered the Chicken Masala. The portion sizes were large enough that I was able to eat and leave some for a 2nd meal when I got home.

Hamilton mainstay. Came here as a kid. Fish chowder serving has shrunk, but still good/very good. Have a patio in the street which is new to me. Philippino staff needs to be more personable. Originally, back in stone ages it was all Bermudians. They all own businesses now and outsource just like everyone else, but a pub thrives on interaction which is lacking here. If you want to keep a tourist churn and burn plate pub, fine. If you want a future and a legacy make the waitstaff count(like the Barracuda upstairs). On the upside, the fish and chips were exceptional even without mushy peas. The local beers are light and terrific. Get the wheat you won’t regret it

Late and overdue review. After walking around Bermuda, we decide to sit down and eat at the Hog Penny. Atmosphere was ok, dark and cozy. My daughter and son loves the Mac and cheese balls. Everything else we had was just ok.
