First time there and OMG the food was absolutely delicious! I placed an order for pick up and the waitress suggested some tempting entrée from the menu. She was really helpful in explaining and describing the food that I wanted to order more to take home! Next time I go back I’m definitely taking my friends and family!!!

Me and my buddy Akshay came here this past weekend and it wasn’t a pleasant experience. To start, the food we got was okay but then I opened up one taco and almost threw up when looking at it (see picture). Just didn’t eat it no big deal of course, but the idea that a human is meant to eat that is insanity. Luckily I had Akshay there to take a picture as i forgot my phone. They were also very rude when asking for salsa. They give you one tiny cup for a huge meal, like I need at least 4??? Then when I go to the counter the worker looked at me like I was an idiot asking for salsa. Should be common courtesy. Me nor Akshay will not be back because of these 2 situations.

The servers were nice. Good size restaurant, even has a bar area. Guacamole could use a little more salt but definitely fresh, Salsa was a little watery, but the food itself was really good. I had the Birria Taco dinner, and a Tamale, the wife had the Chile Relleno dinner, and we were impressed. Would go back!

Discovered this place while walking today. Decided to try it and so glad we did!
We ordered veggie burritos, which are FILLED with delicious ingredients. We also tried the corn in the cup – so tasty and the corn is FRESH sweet corn!! Uniquely refreshing flavors in everything we tried.
Server was really helpful and courteous, too. Brought out our food and bottles of hot sauce since we sat outside.
We will definitely be back!

Came with my son for a quick lunch as he attends Elgin Community College. He had three tacos: birria, carne asada and ground beef. He loved them all. I also had tacos and the corn. Very yummy!

I heard on the internet does this place have the biggest loaded burritos ever. So instead of going to El Paraiso, I gave it a shot. I walked in on Friday night at 10:00 p.m. there were two families eating on the right hand side of the restaurant, one man standing up waiting, one man playing the gambling machine and two people at the bar / counter area. The woman working behind the counter looked at me and then looked away. After about 5 minutes of me and the gentleman standing and waiting for someone, a male employee with a Emily’s Mexican grill shirt approached and noticed the gentleman and myself waiting. However, he grabbed a cart and went back into the back of the restaurant out of sight. It was at this moment that the gentleman that was waiting set back down with one of the families. Apparently he wanted something and no one was there to get him what he needed. I waited for about another 4 minutes and left. If everyone ignores you it doesn’t matter how good the food is. I guess I’ll never know. I ended up going to El Paraiso and having the amazing food. They don’t ignore you there. In fact they said “hey boss how’s it going?” when I walked in.

Literally just the meat on ur tacos they don’t even add onion and cilantro like 80% of the time. You also get the oily taste in your tortilla it’s so flimsy and gross. Ask to speak to someone they had nobody there that night. They just keep getting worse. It’s like the good cook there left and got replaced.

Not really a good place to eat. I have ordered a few times and so far they’ve gotten my orders wrong. I don’t like to start anything so I’ll just take my order no matter what. But they are horrible at listening and taking orders. Also. Their tamales are absolutely horrible. Not fresh at all. It is frozen product

This is the worst food I have ever ate, the staff is rude. They treat you like a piece of garbage. The portions are really small. Do not come here. They will ruin your day. The girl at the front desk needs to change her attitude. She shouldnt be at the front desk, representing the company its a really bad look.

Took a friend here tonight to give it a try. We ordered the loaded burrito and regular burrito. Not only was the burrito tiny but there was literally almost 0 steak. I’m not surprised this place is dead and they don’t even serve complimentary chips which literally cost .50 cents yeah if you’re looking for great Mexican food free chips and huge portions go to Sammies in Elgin. Why is Sammie’s packed wall to wall? Because the portions are huge for the same price as Maria’s mini burrito . I won’t be going back.
