Another extraordinarily delicious meal from Ephesus: could not eat in tonight but wanted to because the restaurant is beautiful and the staff is so friendly and welcoming, but the dishes are the best. The food is delicious homemade fresh healthy. This is a gem must go often!

I’ve had a lot of Turkish food in my life, and as a result, I’m very picky about what constitutes a good Turkish restaurant. Please bear that in mind when I say Ephesus is the whole picture. There is a care and quality to the food, a gentle home feeling to the atmosphere and décor, and wonderful hospitality on the part of the staff. Eating here feels like being invited to a friend’s family dinner.
Their dolma (stuffed grape leaves) have this beautiful spice to them that I’ve never encountered elsewhere. The mantı (small meat dumplings in yogurt sauce) are beautiful, springy, and delicate. The kebabs are cooked perfectly and have this great flavor and texture. Even something so simple as their döner (gyro) hits the spot. My favorite, however, has to be the pide (Turkish style pizza). It’s a hard thing to do well, and not every restaurant has the equipment to do it. Their pide brings me back to my childhood in Brooklyn. It’s so good!
Turkish food, in general, focuses heavily on fresh produce, grilled meats, and excellent quality baking. Ephesus does all of these things fantastically. If you’ve never had Turkish food before, this is an excellent and rewarding introduction to the cuisine. If you are a veteran, you will be delighted to find all your favorites done with care, skill, and joy. Well worth a trip.

Spoke with Durok the manager earlier in the week to get an understanding of portion size for a catering party of 11. He perfectly recommended exactly what I should order to satisfy everyone and still have enough for me to have a “nice lunch” for the next day. Ended up ordering a mixture of chicken, lamb and Kofte for the meat, babagsnoush, humos, spicy salad and katch badmajan for salads. Everything was cooked to perfection and was incredibly fresh. Couldn’t have had a better experience from start to finish. Thank you to Durok and the team and Ephesus grill for a meal everyone enjoyed.

I was put on to this restaurant almost a year ago, but haven’t had the chance to go until just now. A acquittance told me this was the best Turkish food on LI. See, I had to see if it was true. I went today and was not disappointed. The place wasn’t busy when I came in, made a Google AI reservation just in case.
When we came in, got seated immediately. Got offered bread that was very fresh just like if it came out the oven. I had a sour cherry imported drink that was excellent. And the grill platter is what I ordered, or as my Turkish friend says it looks like “ Tavuk diner and bulgur pilav “ for the Turkish people reading this. It was excellent, every meat was cooked very well and seasoned so good. Overall the food was excellent. The customer service from the waiter was very good too. Overall I don’t give much places a 5 star, but this deserves it. Excellent place to go to and I’ll recommend to others as well. Thanks Ephesus for having me

We went to dinner with our friends. All the food was very nice and delicious It was the most delicious lentil soup I have ever eaten, and the İskender was also very delicious. I definitely recommend it. By the way, thank you Aslı, you took great care of us all night. The best part of the night was the baklava and Turkish coffee. I will definitely will back!!!

Ephesus is a hidden gem in Massapequa and the surrounding area. Asla and the entire staff are welcoming, friendly and add to one of the best restaurants in the area. The food…where to begin…the food is absolutely delicious, my family and I try new things every time we go, and not once have we had a bad dish. If you go on a Friday or a Saturday I highly recommend the Iskender! And always, ALWAYS get the manti!

First time at this restaurant and definitely will be back to try more dishes. Everything tasted great except manti. It was only okay. The dumplings were very small and they had very little filling and too much sauce. Everything else we had like sultans’ delight, grill platter, chicken shish and gyro was very good. Also the bread was very delicious. Highly recommend this place

If you already know about Turkish cuisine you won’t regret but if you don’t know about Turkish cuisine you will definitely love it. As a Turkish; this one is one of 3 fav Turkish restaurant. The only advice for the restaurant they could have more options for desert.

A charming Turkish restaurant offering authentic Turkish cuisine. The cozy interior features tables arranged closely, creating a warm and inviting ambiance. The service was delightful and friendly. The cuisine was mostly enjoyable, with the traditional Turkish dishes being particularly impressive. However, some dishes, such as the calamari, seemed to be of lesser quality, resembling frozen food. Overall, it was a pleasant dining experience.
