We visited Cooper Hawk in Plainfield on a Saturday for lunch and had a wonderful experience. We made a reservation ahead of time, which made our visit smooth and hassle-free. The food was good, and the atmosphere was inviting.
There was a small mix-up with my daughter’s order, but the team handled it promptly by bringing the correct dish right away, which I appreciated. The restaurant boasts a large seating capacity, making it suitable for groups and gatherings.
One of the highlights is their impressive wine selection. I noticed many guests enjoying wine tastings, which adds to the overall experience. If you’re a wine enthusiast, this is definitely a place I highly recommend.

Went last minute for Valentines Day. Found a reservation online in 5mins. Had to be there in 10mins. Barely made it. Didn’t have to wait, got checked in and sat. The original restaurant we wanted was not run great like they did here. Great job Coppers’s Hawk. Food was amazing. We had App, Main, and Dessert. Plus 2 drinks. It was not a bad total. I was expecting it to cost way more.

This was my second time dining at Cooper’s Hawk, and unfortunately, it was just as disappointing as the first.
I ordered the Gnocchi Alla Vodka, which is advertised as including Italian sausage. What I received was essentially cold gnocchi and sauce, with only three small pieces of sausage—so little that it felt like I was eating plain dough with vodka sauce. The dish was lukewarm at best, the presentation was dull, and it was obvious the plate had been sitting out for quite some time.
I brought this to my server’s attention, and his response was, “Oh no worries, I’ll take it back.” When the plate returned, it came back without a fork and with what seemed like an excessive amount of hot vodka sauce added—but when I looked through the dish, I found the exact same three pieces of sausage from before.
To make matters worse, just minutes prior, a manager had stopped by my table to ask about the issue. I explained exactly what was wrong and what I expected to be corrected. His only response was, “You got it.” Clearly, nothing was actually fixed.
After complaining again, the server brought out a small side plate of sausage, saying it had been “heated up.” The sausage tasted like it had been taken straight from the freezer and microwaved—rubbery, flavorless, and completely unacceptable.
This experience was beyond frustrating. For a restaurant that is so heavily hyped and priced at a higher standard, this level of food quality and service is disappointing and frankly embarrassing. Cooper’s Hawk can—and should—do much better.

Wow!! This Cooper’s Hawk location in Plainfield never disappoints! The service, food and atmosphere are top notch. This has become my all time favorite restaurant in the area. Bradley, the manager is incredible, always recognizing my family and I when we come in. We never feel rushed, and the timing of the appetizers, food, wine are spot on! Kudos to Bradley and his team. Valentine’s dinner was a success!

Finally made it the this newly constructed Coopers hawk. My wife ordered the Prime Churrasco Grilled Steak. I had the Red Wine Braised Short Ribs. My Wife loved the steak. It was nice and tender not overly salted was cooked perfectly. For my plate i have to say that there were tons of different flavors and the meat was falling part. We ordered wine flights to get a taste of different wines. My wife also loved the pretzel bread they give you. If you look at the menu, there is bound to be something for everyone. Things that we liked, the variety of food and wine, our plates we ordered, and the service was great once we sat down. Things that we feel need improvement, way overly packed, the furniture inside (tables chairs) feel like a cafeteria but the decor feels modern, and we waited to get sat a bit even though we got their early and had reservations. Overall we loved the food and will eventually make it back. But please go out and try it for yourself, i don’t think you’ll be disappointed.

We came on a busy Sunday, but it didn’t take too long for a table. Service was a bit slow, but then again, it was busy. People, please be patient, servers work hard, run around a lot, and have to deal with customers who might not be happy about something out of their control.
I had jambalaya, which was very good. I admitedly don’t know what authentic jambalaya might taste like, but the jambalaya they have here is very delicious.
My wife got the grilled cheese with prime rib I think in it, and it was all so very delicious.
My son got the buttered noodles. Butter noodles are butter noodles wherever you go, Cooper’s Hawk has some many other kid options you might not see elsewhere, I suggest going with something else.
Definitely will come back.

The wait for a table on a weds night was MUCH longer than I expected, which I realize is my fault for not making a reservation. However, the person who was clearing tables seemed to be the issue. He took 20 mins to clear off 5 tables, which he did all at the same time instead of clearing one at a time to get people sat faster. After a rough start the food was VERY good, probably some of the best mashed potatoes Ive ever had! We will definitely be returning to try other menu items! Not a place for quiet romantic dinner, but more of a fun energetic setting.

We had a reservation issue and called the restaurant. I dealt with Alexa and Marissa, they were polite and accommodating and ultimately resolved our issue. We appreciated the good customer service. We had Victoria as a server, she was friendly, attentive and conversational. The food was fantastic. Overall, we had a wonderful night, and even celebrated a birthday!

As a bi weekly guest at the Plainfield location, our experience is always spectacular! We ALWAYS sit at the bar for the atmosphere and especially the staff! Never a bad experience with Jessica, Drew, Nina, Tito and Nikole! Always attentive and full of fun spirits! Manager Brien is always around eager to meet and check on his guests! Everyone makes our experience every time joyful!!!
Highly recommend hanging in the bar with this crew! Our food and drinks are always fantastic, and if something is off they are eager to make it perfect.

Even our plates were brought to us heated to keep the food hot longer wow this deserves 10 Stars alone, who wants warm or cold food? Not us! The short ribs and potatoes were amazing the atmosphere was also elegant & amazing.
The young man (hostess) who took us to our table was about to put us on a wait list, thankfully I had already spoken with the other hostess lady 10mins prior and she told him “no we have a table ready for them”, had they made us wait we might have just left and gave a 1 star negative review, there was maybe 25% of the tables seated or less, the amount of open tables was significant that actually did irradiate us a bit and this visit and review could’ve gone very different. (I know there might have been reservations however there was more than enough open tables to accommodate several additional parties & they weren’t short on wait staff either) it’s definitely Recommend to make a reservation on the website ahead of time.
We will definitely return in the future and will not hesitate to update my review.
