Pizza By The Slice put us on the map and is available here at all times for a fast meal. Whole pies, Salads, and bar snacks, also made to order. This is our first restaurant in Iowa and is located inside the Lion Bridge Brewing Taproom, a local favorite in the heart of the Czech Village. Check their listing for hours and information. This was my husband and I first time eating here. We were told the pizza is similar to New York style pizza. My husband used to travel to NY monthly for work prepandemic. He says you can get a slice of pizza on just about every street corner. They fold the pizza in half and give it to you on a paper plate to go. At Ian’s you can order by the slice or a whole pie. We ordered a whole pie and 2 salads. The salads were made wrong (the waitress explained after she had delivered to the table and we had started eating them) and they gave us or money back plus the 2 drinks we ordered. Very nice gesture! The pizza was, per my husband, the closest thing to NY style pizza he’s had in the Midwest. You fold it in half and eat! Even came with a paper plate lol. We’ll definitely be going back!

My daughter bought two slices one pepperoni one chicken Alfredo chicken penny… They are both dry as hell, Make sure you buy a drink with it… And the pepperoni is terrible. How do you mess up pepperoni pizza? It is super dry. My daughter took like two bites and Cannot eat anymore… Save your money go elsewhere….

I got a cheese pizza to go and I asked for it well done. No questions asked, 17 minutes later, for 16 dollars and some cents I was on my way. This is the one and only place that makes a true Neapolitan New York style pizza in Cedar Rapids. Let me go ahead and say that again, it is the only place that makes anything remotely close to a New York style pizza and they come within a few points of it being the best that Iowa has to offer in that category. The sauce is neutral which I can understand because the Iowan palate is just that: neutral. No extreme flavors at all. Just the cacophony of cheese, crust, and sauce. I implore you to ask for it Well done. Thank you! It’s been years since I’ve had a pizza like this and I’ve just been hanging for it and you really rescued my day. Sometimes you just need a slice and a Pepsi to get you going again.

This is my new favorite place in town!! Great pizza and the people running the place are always so nice and really care about their customers – they once gave my friend an extra slice just because it wasn’t perfect due to an air bubble in the crust Make sure to try the Buffalo Chicken pizza, it’s delicious and absolutely smothered in sauce

We are from out of town and stopped by to grab a beer. We hadn’t been by in well over a year and didn’t even know that Ian’s Pizza was available! Ordered a couple of slices on a whim and it was some of the best pizza I have ever had. My husband and I both had the pepperoni and sausage pizza, but everything they offer looks amazing!
