Nice place to spend time with family. There is a family friendly area, but also a separated bar area.
Arcade is located in the basement.
Service was great.
Nachos supreme – they were pretty tasty, though served on a large platter with chips piled up and toppings on the top. The melted cheese stuck to mostly the top chips and there wasn’t much on the chips below it, so it was more like half a platter of loaded nachos, and half a platter of plain chips.
Village special – this pizza was loaded with toppings, but they were disproportionate. I couldn’t see any other toppings under the solid layer of peppers and onions. When I pulled the first slice, a puddle of grease formed in the middle of the serving dish and it kept pouring out from the pizza. I placed a napkin on the serving dish to soak up the extra grease & it fully saturated the napkin. I kind of lost my appetite from seeing that much grease – i know pizza can be greasy but this was the most I had ever seen! I ate one slice, it tasted fine after I removed about half of the peppers and onions.
Draft beers were good & cold, bar staff was friendly, and we still enjoyed our date, but we agreed that we probably won’t be back.
I did not get a manager regarding my complaints. I did not want to be confrontational because we were both tired after working 11+ hours, and it was OK enough to eat. I didn’t want a refund or to wait for another pizza to be made. I just wanted to enjoy a peaceful, quiet dinner date & go home.
As I walked in it was a strange separation between a self serve and full service area. The bar seemed unmanned although there were a few line souls having a drink around it. The floor was sticky, and the overall atmosphere was uninviting, hence my u-turn and decision not to dine there.
