Amazing restaurant serving up authentic Thai food in an absolutely perfect setting.
Been here several times and finally got around to leaving a review….
If you know a better Thai nearby, I’d suggest you haven’t been here yet……
Oh, I could add a photograph of the tropical rice but where would be the fun in that… If it sounds good, wait until you see it!
Book now and you won’t be disappointed.
Bon appetite

I was really hoping to nail the full 5 stars here but they came up short. Quickly in and seated but no urgency to get drinks sorted. Slow to take food order but we got there. Most starters fine but my chicken wings was a bit pink shall we say! Removed from the bill but it’s not about that. Mains were good even though the Thai Red had 2 chilli symbols it was very mild but good flavour. Service was a bit erratic, even getting the bill was drawn out. I’m sure they are usually better, it’s just I was hoping tonight they would have been.

The Glass House is a well-known Thai restaurant in Royston which has been there for years. I visited it again recently and was very impressed once again.
The restaurant was not too busy as it was Sunday evening. I had booked ahead and had no trouble finding a quiet table for two.
The whole look and feel of the Glass House is quite quirky and none the worse for that. It is not the Ritz, but doesn’t charge Ritz prices either, and the staff could not have been more welcoming or attentive.
The food was very good and reasonably priced given the quality. It was served hot and all freshly prepared. The portions were of a good size too. The Glass House staff were very helpful when it came to choosing what to have, and it all arrived quite quickly.
Dinner for two with drinks and coffee came to about £50 with a service charge included which I thought was more than fair given that we had stayed for over two hours.
Overall the Glass House is an excellent place for a relaxed Thai meal in my view. I will definitely be going back again, for me the best part was the way the staff treated me, closely followed by the quality and reasonable price of the food.

Went there for food today, wanted to try it out for a while now, finally got in.

Hi am looking for a table for one.
Yes, sit anywhere you want, so I ask okay can I sit next to the window which originally had 4 chairs. As I’m looking out for … I’m not from around here.

Can I get you anything to drink at all, coke please…. All went well until I heard the waitress go back to the counter and start gossiping about me being in my own and sitting at the front which had 4 chairs.

( Then why didn’t you allocate a seat for me at the start?) didn’t just gossip once but twice, obviously they didn’t think that I understand Thai. It’s a shame tbh, food was quite good also just the atmosphere and service! Which you can be ignored by the waitress sometime!

I am posting this photo and the receipt, I know you will remember who I was and hope you don’t gossip about other customers again.

Tried the Pad Thai – although not the same as the more authentic Thai style with nuts, chilli flakes, sugar etc, it was tasty in its own rights.

The dessert though, was fantastic! Coconut ice cream & cereal + attap seeds + sticky rice to go along with it! Delicious

Really delicious Thai restaurant located only a couple of minutes walk from the train station, so it’s conveniently located if you’re visiting from out of town.

The food is delicious- we had one of their set meals and everything we had was really tasty and authentic. We’ll definitely be back again.

It was very busy when we visited, so I’d recommend booking, which is very easily done through their website. All the staff were very friendly and looked after us well.

Went in for a meal with my family on saturday night and the place was busy. however i had amazing service from the waitress who let me know her name was Abbie, i’ve never had someone quite as friendly as her serve me before and it was a pleasure to meet her. The food was great and nice atmosphere but the service was truly the cherry on top! I will be back

Made us wait at the door on arrival for several minutes before someone came to us although they could see us waiting. Ordered duck for starters which was very dry and tasteless, even the cucumber was dry! I asked if they could do a Thai green curry fresh for my daughter with little spice it came and was sooo spicy even I couldn’t eat it, sticky rice was hard, will not return again.
